I don't even know where to start.
But I must have had a blast if I'm the first one posting the damn review.
hell yeah i had a blast!!! Big up the early morning crew - WE CLOSED THAT MOTHERFUCKER!!!
(those who were there with me - sign in!!)
AMY and SARAH - REALLY sweet meeting you guys, you are real troopers, you made the old atat proud and stuff
First, I gotta congratulate the Vibrant Crew for finding this place - they spent days driving around fields to hook it up. MalGlo explained the logistincs of the operation to me (double exit in case of a raid, trucks ready to pick up equipment in minutes, those kinda things) and I couldn't help but to be impressed. For real. A really tight job on the sound and light set up too, damn!
Ok, music.
That drunk Frisky bastard couldn't even squat without falling over when we (me, Mike Anna, Graham and El Presidente Jamesino) walked in there at around midnight. Yet he still magaged to mix up an eclectic set of HHC oldies with a bunch of 80's dance hits, and i couldn't help but grin from ear to ear as the flood of oldschool memories entered my brain. I started drinking within minutes and was caught up to Livingroom Dan within the hour, just because 80's dance hits go down easier with some Lezajsk.
Pete - ah shit, like he would ever disappoint - a nice, tight set of Goa and tech-trance, starting of course (like there was any doubt, hehe) with The Barn Dance. It kept me stomping with my eyes closed, enjoying the fresh breeze and a warm vibe, getting all greased up to what without a doubt was - without taking away from all the brilliant talent in there - the set of the night.
SATORI! Nick, you fucker, i'm glad you didn't go with hard techno on this one. What you did play fit perfectly (at least for me, but IT IS my review) with the mood of that part of the night, and ALONE IN THE DARK simply made made it for me. By that point I was in the zone, nothing but a warm energy enveloping me, and I have only a few colorful snapshots stuck in my memory as far as visuals go - the rest was music. Fuck, you simply knew the score and I cannot thank you enough. You're the shit and you know it!!!!
Drererek - nice follow up, excellent mixing, a beatiful build all through out, and some really outdoorsy selections from you mang, smoked my last herbal supplements to your soundtrack, and I loved it.
And then there was the morning crackhead crew on their feet while Malglo whipped out some classics, including the damn CHILDREN. I mean c'mon, CHILDREN and sunrise??? At that point, with only a handful of hardcores on the dancetarp, I felt fucking fully and completely satisfied, a feeling you cannot inject with a syringe... Thank you Vibrants, one hell of a night, and as usual, completely unexpected.
Thanks and sloppy kisses go out to:
My Best Boy Therapist, who whipped out some 'glowsticks', oldschool stylez, and provided me with several opportunities for spazmatic laughter, and no party should ever be devoid of that. We're doing it Epic yo! More than a week to go, let's keep it up!!!
Ania, my girl, a walking good energy dispenser, how cool really is she? like really...*muah*
Nick and Nick and their mushroom crew - It was Amy (Space Cadette) who found your flashlight!!! Youare youare, a wonderful-wonderful person(s)!
Marvin and Chris, hell yeah, I love you you fucking dildos, it's impossible to not smile when I see your ugly mugs.
Cri - hehe, no comment, hehe...
And to everyone else I talked to and laughed my ass off with - I'm sorry if I don't name you, but you know who you are and I love you all, you got my word!
What a great fucking night!!!!
ps. Oh yeah, Mike went to the car around 430 to take a nap so he could drive back, but it was me driving home at 630 afterall... hehe... back to the good ol' days!
