The Last Pure Phunk Event at NV!

I arrived just after midnight, the place was starting to fill up nicely. It was great to see so many familiar faces

I must say, the upstairs is much nicer then that cold dark basement. Grooverobber played a wicked set, played a little bit of everything and started to warm things up. Then Robb G hit the decks and had me dancing till the lights came on! Crazy set! Thanks for playing "Overdrive" (one of my fav older tracks)

All in all it was a great nite. I'm sad to see it go but I guess nothing lasts forever. Thanks for everything Dan, I've had many amazing nites because of your hard work and dedication to the breaks scene.

Thanks to everyone that made it out. Who knew a different floor could make all the difference! So much more comfortable, warm, and cozy... added to the vibe quite nicely. The floor was packed, and I even saw all the D&B DJ's hanging out on the breaks floor... a good sign! I told them that breaks were the future (although it might have had something to do with all the hot women on the floor).

Thanks to all the DJ's who played great sets:

Uncle Bobby: Sorry for all the sound problems, but you played great regardless.

Grooverobber: So, you can play breaks after all!

Great set, full of surprises.

Robb G: Pure energy! Wicked way to end off a night. Kept 'em going to the point where we had to kick them out! Nice One!

Everyone came out to support. Very touching. Almost TOO MANY hot women... It was great... except, no mcbee...

Oh well... can't win 'em all...

Good to see Danielle, Joanna, Sue, Kate, Monika, Jaime, Jen (sorry our DJ's weren't hot enough to entice you to stay longer

), Mike, Leo, Pete, Nick, Pat, Pat & Alicia, Erin... oh there's just so many...

I couldn't be happier.

Just so you know, that was the last Pure Phunk event, but Syrous will be keeping that room a rockin'! I'll see to it myself. The best in breaks (and jungle too, I guess

) every week!

hahaha! I had made plans from the beginning to goto both!

But I will definitly say that I had a great time for the short time I was there. The upstairs is kick ass, and dancing to sweet sweet breakz. Sadly I missed Robb's set, and I've heard so many good things about it. Grooverobber got me dancing tho!

Sad to see pure phunk gone, I've had many wikkid nights at these events. Always a great time! Nice job Dan.

Great night, indeed!

And what better way to go out than with a bang! It's good to see that Syrous is keeping the breaks room... afterall, the upstairs is where it's at!

I was really diggin Grooverobber's set which was all over the map... He was jumpin genres all over the place, but it worked really well.
