How does that constitute an outbreak?
Unfortunately, I think things are getting blown out of proportion. Not to make light of the situation, but I think if you were to look at all the seasonal flu stats for the past 50 years, you would see that so far the mortality rate has actually been pretty mild. Not that any death is good, and I hope we all stay safe and healthy, but I fear that things are getting somewhat out of hand.

Hmmmm. Flu season has come early. Is it that unreasonable to think that there may be people in a hospital that come down with the flu?
By definition, there is an outbreak in my office all the time. People are well, all of a sudden, a few people get a cold. Outbreak.
I think the use of the word "outbreak" is used rather liberaly these days.

the bad news is yes. the good news is, i don't know when.
You have to be kind of a tool to not recognize the peril of three people coming down with an infectious disease in a major hospital.
You might think the use of the word "outbreak" is ridiculous from the safety of your computer so, as a reality check, why don't you zap your white blood cell count down to a dangerous level and go spend a few days breathing hospital air.

I still think a roving needle-van would be the best route. Get on the kleighorn and order everyone to stand at the kerb with their arms out... first vehicle comes along with an iodine paintbrush and schlops everyone, next vehicle, present arms, jab, move along...
