The end of March madness

This past month has been the most intense month of partying in my life, starting with Anthony Pappa at System (crap) and capping off with Sasha and Digweed at Kool Haus (mind blowing), with a slew of other big events, small events and a road trip to montreal. I think its time for a bit of a break for me for at least a month or so. Time for some detox (I have been bad) and just time to look back and appreciate some of the great nights I've had, one of them being the best night ever. Nevermind the fact I'm flat broke. Toronto was definetly spoiled in terms of the talent thats past through in the last month.

Anyone else feel the wrath of march "clubbing" madness and need a break?

I feel like I've been in HIDING the last three months. Have hardly partied at all, and the Tim Horton's kiosk lady at the Redpath library now knows my name. Time for a big break this friday with the one like Sven Vauth! Or mayhaps AVB still undecided :D

But I have definetly had that feeling in the past. The thing to realize is that you don't need to kill yourself all in one go. Partying and dancing all night, wether sober or with alchohol, and or other party aids is a huge toll on your system. It disrubts your natural eating/sleeping patterns that can take some time to recover. Add to that the stress of hangovers, or depleted serotonin or WHATEVER on your body well, its easy to understand how it starts complaining after a while.

Taking a break is a great idea. For me it helped me remember there aer so many other things out there beside ' the scene' . Friday nights spent drinking bottles of wine with the girls and debating philosophy till the early hours of the morning, crazy rock climbing adventures, cooking meals with loved ones, staying in bed naked all day (or most of it) with a special someone :D, a good book, A long walk, horseback riding. Whatever. I've reexpanded my experiences and circle of friends and my body, brain and wallet thank me a lot.

Everything in moderation, good sir.

(Then again Oscar wilde DID argue, moderation is a meal, temptation a feast)

There WILL always be other parties, and DJ's WILL come back.

Learn well, young grasshopper ;)

a crazy crazy month...although anthony pappa was memorable since steve porter was such a classy guy, so i did end up having a great night (plus i got to play with the strobes :) ) ... anyways totally right steve, i've got a few weekends scheduled with friends & possibly a few early trips up north to slow down the pace a touch...

however, i'm looking forward to the spring, & just picked up the flyer today for the next science party which should be fun...

I've been telling myself to take a break for the last 8 months... who am I kidding though?! Every week there's always something I want to do, some dj I want to see, so I cave and no break is in sight. Perhaps when I can't walk or hear anymore, that's when I'll actually take a break. Maybe.
