The Dieselboy hatred on DOA

DOA is from the UK, that says it all!
DSL has continually been dissed by everything from mags,websites, and even the prolific UK dj's like goldie and fabio...part of it stems from when he was ranked higher than both roni size and grooverider in a UK poll for top DJ's so their all bent out of shape.
higgins has made it abundently clear that he has no intention of sparking things further out of control...he just thinks that the Uk side of things are creating a wall around them and the international drum and bass scene,america's in particular!
dieselboy is one of the best DJ's in the world and has proven it repeatatly...sounds cliche, but DEMS ALL JEALOUS!
the fans and critics both agree...unfortunatly THEY don't

easily one of my favorite all time DJ's...and now that he's producing,they will definetly bite their tongues...he knows his beats!

I have 4 Deiselboy cds and I love them all...I still have 2 more to get.
He's pure talent...I love his track selection...and producing.

meh, i think it started really for the Brits to try and get a rise outta the yanks......and it ALWAYS worked. There is a lot of hatred for him on there, but mainly its by stupid british punks with nothing better to do than slag off American drum & bass(even though at least 90% of the tunes he plays are british). Most of them have never heard him.
Big up to DSL......one of my favorite DJ's no doubt!

That's what bothers me the most about that board...too many pricks arguing about whose scene is better and who has the best DJs and producers...
A main reason why i only lurk on that board...scope out some current info and then get outta there quickfast and in a hurry.
I just wish this room had more going on...a lot of solid people here (plur )

)As far as my two cents on the man, the myth and the legend himself...I just don't see what the whole fascination with this cat is:
Track selection...meh, he's no Sniper.
Mixing...pretty good, but I've seen and heard way better. c64 for example could deeeeestroy this cat behind the decks.
Production...yeah Invid was pretty hype, but his other gear is rather forgettable.
However, the man has paid his dues so I respect him in that capacity but I find myself being rather critical and hesitant in ranking him among the scene's finest...even from an exclusively North American perspective for that matter.
As far as the business you see on DOA and the like:

Hell, I'd go as far to say that it's the D5L-lad himself and his inner circle that are the ones perpetuating that hate...just for the sake of getting his name out all over the place.
Aight...I admit it, I'm a nutter conspiracy theorist...but you have to ask yourself: who is really benefitting from all the drama?

and juan love...you are way off!...dsl is geeting play now because he deserves it!...more or less his recognition comes form a north american fanbase. not from the UK...they don't give a fuck about him...which is the problem, he gets no respect over there.
Getting play because he deserves it? You might not mean it this way but I take this to imply that even if he puts out grabage it should get the nod because he deserves the recognition. That's just absurd...
I maintain that while I respect the guy for actually "living the game" and making the music his vocation; I think he's more than just a little bit overrated.
Then again, the terrawrist is probably right...I could be way off base here but I think goes to illustrates the second aspect of the hating on Dieselboy's game we observe...
I'm just expressing a polarized opinion after reading the litany of "my Dieselboy, right or wrong" comments from the average weekend junglist and media figure alike who seem to care more about their latent desire for Dieselboy to bust a nut on their butcheeks than they do the actual quality of what his name is associated with.
