Anyone know whats going on this weekend. My mum may come down, no idea what to do wirh her. I think the jazz fest is starting so maybe something with that. She like classical stuff too. Anyone know if the gardiner is gona closed for any reason?

Do they have free jazz fest stuff at habourfront? I dont know much bout the jazx fest.

the jazz festival is a fucking NIGHTMARE to navigate. the beaches becomes a cluster fuck of nonsense.

ugh, its like when they shut fucking danforth down for the Taste of the Danforth except worse since its WAY harder to escape.

My partner and I did this last year. You are so on the money! Walking around there was a nightmare.

It was a lot better once we went onto the beach. They had a Cuban band playing. Sat down, drank some Mill St beers, smoked a nice cigar, had my toes in the sand while listening to some jazz. Would have been complete if Havana Club was a sponsor!

Are you talking about the Beaches jazz fest, which is something completely different?

oh maybe, hahahahaha

generally when i listen to Jazz its at home or at other locales in the city, used to hit up Grossman's for Blues and Jazz regularly.

beaches Jazz fest is BALLS, if the TD Jazz fest is just a larger version of it though, then i would say extra balls ;)

but if they dont cordon off an area forcing people to walk on top of eachother and its multiple locations throughout the city then its not balls.

there really doesnt seem like theres much of interest this weekend. grrr the old ladys not too good at walking around, and standing around and taking ttc and going up and down stairs and being pushed in crowds and all that stuff either.

Well, if she's not into walking around and taking transit, what can she do? That leaves out museums, festivals, shopping, galleries, sports, attractions and parties. lol

Just take cabs and stuff. You live in the wretched west end now so.

Go drink and eat.

actually I live in the middle.
oh yeah cabs, I forgot about them, good call.

I want to do something worthwhile ya know, living in butt fuck nowhere theres not much culture and stuff, I'd like to something that you only get in the city, but it seems like most of the stuff they would like is done til the fall. :(

ha she'd love a jays game actually, not sure if my aunt would tho.
we are not exactly rich so needs to be cheap things, especially since they have to pay for hotel too.
