    Okay -

So lets say there is a massive outbreak of some sort of flu/virus thingy.

Lets say 200M ppl. will die.

Lets say this is will happen in 30 - 60 days.

What do you want to do in that time?

    Answers better be entertaining.

I'm spiking all my future meals with chicken fingers.

I figure it should help me build up an immunity.

I would be sure to first address the clutter in my storage locker and do some cleaning around the house to get that out of the way.

Then I would go to Zanzibar and get two table dances from two different strippers, after that I would place $25 bets on longshots and ties on Proline.

I would rent a DVD from Rogers with no intention of returning it.

I definitely have to try the king size prime rib at the Keg before checking out (I have a coupon).

Mila Jovovich would have to figure in at some point

I would make amends with Rickey Henderson.

I would take out Norwich Life life insurance.

I would try to release lemurs as a legacy.

and I would be sure to take out as many geese as possible before finally succumbing to the bird flu.

I'm getting pretty sick of all this talk about bird flu.

A bird in Asia got bird flu so they killed all the birds.

A bird in Turkey got bird flue so they killed all the birds.

A single digit number of people got bird flu and died. Their bird flu as far as I can tell has not spread.

How long are they going to talk about the (maybe) looming pandemic before it gets old? I guess they milked El Nino for at least five years.

If someone who has the normal flu gets the bird flu look out.

We're overdue for a pandemic. The last big flu pandemic was in 1918, and a less severe one in 1930. We have flu everyyear, but once in a while the flu mutates into a really bad one - it overwhelms the immune system due to its virulence and the fact that it is a new strain that nobody has antibodies against. Millions die.

Because of this, flu strains are watched very closely for precursors for a pandemic strain. Currently, the avian flu is showing similar signs to earlier pandemic strains, but it does not appear to transmit easily from human-to-human *yet* which is why the human toll has been relatively small. However, if that mutation happens it could get messy considering how much more urban human populations have become coupled with extremely fast global travel.

I understand that the medical profession is "watching it closely" but do we really need to hear about it every other night on the news?
