Ok, here's the situation.

I need to delete/remove an op system (Win 95) & then install Win 98. I don't have the Win98 upgrade cd, I have the new install version (if that makes sense).

Any ideas?

Thanks.

question 1 why 98 sucks and if you're upgrading from 95 why bother 95 is much more stable... second without the disk you could try writing the code yourself although for one person that may take a while... ask a friend for the disk i would consider win2k if you are upgrading

get a new girlfriend:D

I think if you have the full 98 cd you can install it and there will be an option to reformat the hd before starting the install, 98 is more intelligent but runs poorly when benchmarked against other OS. basically if you have 98 full version just install it.

i disagree on the win 98 is more stable argument.
win 98 second addition is way, way, way more stable than 95. you will almost never see the blue screen of death with 98. it's a daily occurance with 95.

<--- has 98SE on a 5 year old p166 with 64 meg ram at home, has 95 on a 2 year old pIII650 with 128 meg of ram at work. the pIII650 crashes way more than the p166.

you should just be able to install over the existing 95 installation
