The last time mofo and the kru tried to organize it, it failed because we didnt have a venue.

I just found out that we can rent the Lab on a saturday for 200$
That is a really good venue for our needs!! Simply perfect!

So, post here if you are up for a party and maybe we'll try to hook something up!

Try it, it's hoot #1 on my list of seminally-boring things to do on a tuesday night.

May 12 is Sugar's and my birthday. That would be a nice present to us.

Current open dates:

march 16th open
march 30th possibly be open
April 6th open
April 20th open
and every weekend after that

Weekends it CANNOT happen:

April 13th... going to a wedding
April 20th... working
May 18th... working

Good Weekends:

I think the appropriate weekend would be the first or second weekend in May. That way everyone would be back from university, exams would be all but over, and we could be doing the "start to summer" party.

So yeah. My vote for the party is the first 2 weekends in may.

I think those dates in march are too soon. Do-able, but soon. It would be tough to pull it off in 3 or 4 weeks.

april 6 is the day after sasha and digweed. you will be in no condition to party that day.

I am very particular about the way the TRIBE brand is used.

however

I am up for calling it a 'TRIBE' party as long as:

a) it is a free entry event, or
b) if any money is made from it, it has to be given to a charity, and
c) I have to see the #s to make sure that the above is true.
d) I have to be kept posted (by email) as to planning for such events, before you announce them because there may be legal implications for TRIBE.

Also be aware airbag, that for the most part you can get any club you want for free during the month of february or march. Bars love to sell booze and filling them up with drinkers makes them money.

Because I only do 1 or 2 TRIBE events a year, I can pretty much get any club or space in the city for an official TRIBE event. This is just one of the reasons I like to do fewer events.

If that's the case, April 6th would be ideal... last weekend before the last week of classes, and before the start of "hardcore study cramming week"

BTW my one and only exam is on April 29th.
