After being treated to a wonderful dinner by some great friends (however many "Son of a Peach" martinis later...) we ventured on over to System Sound Bar. I stayed mostly in the VIP room (for Finarys bday **Happy Bday cutie**) It was great seeing so many familiar faces...I havent really been to any "non-breaks" events in long time..hehe

However... to my surprise, I DID hear some breaks spun last nite in the main room. I know it was well after 4am when I decided to check out Matt Coleridge. I dont get to see Coleridge spin too often but I will say this...he gets better and better everytime! WOW! He had me dancing HARD...TO BREAKS!! Yes thats right, Matt Coleridge threw down some SERIOUS break beats...and I was in HEAVEN!

I had such a wicked nite and I owe it all to my partner in crime Louie! I have to let you drag my ass out more often!

Great set by Matt once again. I don't wanna sound like a broken record but Coleridge was on fire, enough said.

Respect to the DJ in the VIP room for dropping "Daddy's Favourite - I Feel Good Things For You". I hadn't heard that song in ages and it put the biggest smile on my face, in addition to making me bust some moves on the dancefloor.

Now for my beef of the night: There were WAY too many guys at System last night. I think the ratio of guys to girls was like 10:1, no joke. Biggest sausage party I've ever been to (shut up kalemic). System really needs to do something to bring the fine women back. Ladies free before 12 maybe. The crowd these days is really hurting.

I've also noticed how much of a sausage fest fridays are becoming. I'm starting to prefer saturdays.

yeah another fun night of debaucery (oops that word is from the most overused forum)...as always lots of familiar faces & good to see sam making the trek up from hammer town...yeah daddys favouite is a sweet funky track...good music all around...excellent use of the lasers last night (ie very minimal)...as far as the guy to girl ratio, perhaps start playing some progressive r&b

its great to go down, hang out & chat, listen to some great tunes (ortz, evolution, & some other nice vocally tracks, trippin (thanks for pointing it out steve as i totally forgot how great this track is...)...+ some creative use of the pqm (you are sleeping vocal) by matt early in his set...a fun night as always!!! ps nice to meet starvin' marvin...

you assholes.....going out is about the music.Picking up is not a priority. You should be there for the music, dancing and meeting interesting people. Not just little bimbos.
Plus faggots are fun to party with. Lets not forget who started this scene before most of the people on this board were even born...

oh yes, the waves were an excellent opening to the set...seagulls (ie bay of plenty) or waves create such an atmospheric touch...if anyone listens to ride track 11 nowhere (on the nowhere disc) also uses waves to great effect...
