Ok- first of all, i just got home. Second of all, Thank you to all who were there and allowed me to have an awesome time. Special thanks to Jay, Vinder, Will, Alex, Sunny (I think you're the first gay guy I've kissed!!!) and others for *trying* to keep my head on straight. Special thanks also to those who helped to NOT keep my head on straight like Alex, Helen, Ash, Noel etc.


Thanks to everyone who made Erin's night a blast- we had a great time!!!!!

And ~dazed~ is right. Coleridge was awesome. He's an amazing DJ. Wow. Never heard him before but he totally blew me away. It was almost trancy but I still enjoyed it.

Even the backroom was pretty good. And it was an unusual crowd. A huge mix for a Friday night. Less muscleboys and leering "gino" types, more newbies and phat pants. Thank God for diversity.

I don't know about you but that Sausage McMuffin was the best breakfast I have ever had.

Anyway, I skipped a jungle party at NV and I even liked Mark Scaife. That should be an indication about how fun it was.

where to begin.....well, i have to say, i will be making it out to the residents nights if last evening was any indication...

the music:
good lord, that was some sweet, sweet music. none of this "warm up" set nonsense, both mark and matt went straight to it, throwing down some sick tracks.....i couldn't stop dancing, even with all of the other extra cirricular activities going on. even mofo and air bag were dancing relentlessly! d&b, pfft!

mistake of the night:
telling air-bag that some guy came up to me, started talking to me, and inadvertantly licked my ear. this lead to countless ear lickings by everyone and anyone. never mind madnezz taking it a step further with an entire face licking.

priceless moment of the night:
at the bar ordering a drink when madnezz begins to reverse bum rush me. the rushing became so violent that at one point i was bouncing off her ass in the air, my feet not touching the ground for a good 10 seconds. the priceless moment? the look on the bartenders face as this was going on.

overall, a fantastic evening and just what i needed! thanks to everyone who made it so much fun: air-bag, mofo, amy, madnezz, starr, hye and mark (

), jayrev, djcheezwiz, ash, mr. furious (you're welcome

), alex and anyone else i may have missed.

i love friday's!

Next time I'll listen to you guys! There were some faces I hadn't seen in a while though, so that was the highlight of the night for me.

if you read my review, you'd notice that i DID discuss the music. yes matt and mark played excellent sets. i thoroughly enjoyed both. couldn't tell you alot of the tracks, but then again i don't go out just to do some trainspotting. i'm not a dj, i don't spin. i go out to dance and have fun. what's wrong with going out to see your friends? just cause we discuss other things than the music doesn't make us uneducated "tossers." the music + the people make the vibe. i tried to cover everything that made the night interesting. i'm sorry if it didn't live up to your expectations. and quit it with the british slang, wanker

i don't think i've ever made that complaint
and personally me and "progressive" house don't mix
but that doesn't mean i'm going to act like an ass and just stand around the whole time

i was just telling this to sunny's friend yesterday, but i love system
i think mychol holtzman does a great job with the decor
their security is amazing
ange is THE BEST BARTENDER in the city
the crowd is usually fun
and the music is mostly great

on a friday night it's a great place for me to wind down and see a bunch of my friends all at one place
definitely the best place to start off my night

i do love the sideroom, the merry pranksters and their friends do a great job djing in there
and i find the backroom has great djs too

so i guess i DO go for the music,
just not the music in the main room

Personally, I dont even care much for the music they play at system. I can't honestly say I've loved a set I've heard from any of the residents there, but I have so much damned fun when I go BECAUSE OF THE PEOPLE that I go anyway, once every couple of months.

Man, and i thought technosnobs were there only ones supposed to be stuckup! *S* talk about losing sight of whats important....

actually tranceaholic, mark & matt were definitely playing great tracks on friday...even heard mark slip in a little lustral...it also happens system has become a regular hangout for many clubbers/tribe members on friday evenings which is a result of several things...

the music...good tunes, solid sets played by all the djs in every room (side, back & main)... a mix of old & new... w/ a side helping of house in the vip room...

the djs...totally cool & as far as i can tell having a pretty good time as they spin the tunes...plus they put up with idiots like myself requesting different tunes, & asking silly questions like "wow that tune is pretty good, who does it?" & having the time to actually share a few thoughts...i totally respect that...

wicked staff...from the bartenders to the coatcheck cru, always friendly...

the promoters...who put in a lot of work to bring in world class talent, but who also keep everyone up to date with regular emails (bang & breathe)

come hang out one weekend tranceaholic, & i guarantee you will have a good time...the invite is open...
