System: Lost and Found?

Look at me, I'm wasting a thread because I'm a drunken fool. Hurrah.



Okay, so here's the deal. I *somehow* lost my $200 jacket at System last Friday. I left them with my contact info, and they never called me back to let me know whether anything turned up. (even though they told me that they would)

So, I have the phone number, but it just leaves me an answering machine message at the end... Do these yahoos actually check this shit?

I actually only work two doors down from the club itself, but is it bad form to just walk up to the door and start banging on it, screaming something about a lost jacket...?

Any suggestions?

Tuesday is the best day to go there, that's "office" day. There will likely be someone there during daylight hours on Tuesday to answer you.

they don't care and they don't check.

chances are whoever you left your number with never passed it on to the clean up crew or manager or whoever would actually contact you.

not to be cynical, but my sister, friends and i (all of whom have *lost* stuff at clubs) have yet to have anything returned or a phone call or actually talk to someone who even remembers us asking about it.

Granted, that may be true...

But if they have a lost and found department, so help me god, I'm going to root through that bitch like it's a bargain bin at BiWay.

I would leave a message or stop in earlish on a night they are open.

hrmm reminds me of a night drinking here I lost my sister hoodie... really nice one to.

I never saw it again...

they don't generally call you back, and the deal with janitorial companies is what you find on the floor you get to keep usually. I know.
I've handed in several things to managers that I've found and they hand it back the next day..
:(

I'd give it a shot though and go check! You never know.
Its is an expensive jacket.....

(And PS- you're totally right. I WAS wearing it at some point later in the evening... I saw a picture and it BLEW my little mind. I must have taken it off and left it somewhere. I suppose I DESERVE to not have my jacket! :( )

I have never gotten anything back that I lost while drunk at system, I dont think they even really check to see if they have it for you.:mad:

Are you sure it was lost and not stolen. Ie. you took it off cause you were hot, and put it on the chair behind you, then you stood up to dance and someones else saw it unattended and picked it up.
