I caught the last of a 4 show engagement this Sunday at Lula Lounge. The Sun Ra Arkestra did not disappoint - lots of classic songs like Nuclear War, Drop Me Off in Harlem, Jeepers Creepers and Space is the Place.

It was a really entertaining show with lots of humor and musicianship. I'm definitely going to do some further digging on their history.

yes! Newer Stuff off "A song for the sun " went off aswell .The double cd of the Sun Ra Singles is a great package of songs , lots of ra backing doo wop groups from the 50's plus lots space ark jazz stuff, amazing!
