Overall I had a better time last year. I basically just stayed in the Kool Haus and Orange Room, occasionally making trips up to the Skybar patio(GMoney played Tracey in My Room by EBTG..Mmmm

) For me it was all about Sneak, Kenny Glasgow and DAVE CLARKE!

Paul Walker, JELO and Dekoze were amazing as usual. Guv was waaaay too packed/hot and full of scary people. I dunno how people waited in that line, thankgod we saw Pat and snuck in with him!

I came, I saw, and I left a VERY happy man...I went for one reason, Timo Maas, and he did not disappoint. Even the #1 naysayer himself, Highsteppa, was taking in Timo's set with glee. I don't even know all of the tracks he played, but that doesn't matter, it was awesome, one of my favorite sets of the year by far...Oh, and about 45 mins. before he started, I was walking into the Guv through the Orange Room, and but who do I see is walking around with a camcorder, Timo himself! Highsteppa and I got some camera time, and even during Timo's set he acknowledged the fact that I was rockin' out hard! It was a good night indeed...

p.S. I also met a great comedian by the name of Shaun Majunder, he's a had a couple of 1 hour specials on the Comedy Network.

The lineups every year are just too insane for my liking - waiting in line over an hour, and then having the price of a ticket jack up to $40 as soon as I walked up to the window really pissed me off. As well security was extremely tight...at least with the one lady I had - spent literally 10 mins on each person frisking parts of the body I've never been frisked by anyone else except the gf.

We walked into the middle of Onionz's set (why did he play so early??) and had the place jumpin. It was a shame I wasn't able to hear more of his stuff, I was looking forward to it.

Gryphon kept the pace going with some unbelievable tracks. Never heard him play so hard before....but it was all good, because he set the vibe for the man, DJ Sneak who was unbelievable - Never heard him play a set so dark and hard....very hypnotic set. I didn't realize how good the Fata Morgana remix of "Voices" was until I heard it dropped on a big system.

I wasn't able to stay for the rest of the night as I had to wake up at 6am, so would love to see some reviews on Kenny G.

ya, ya, I saw him too walking around having a good time. Kind of cool to see a Canadian celebrity out and about.

Well, I'd have to say that Summer's End was one of the best parties I've been to in my life. The music was phenomenal, which is saying a lot from a junglist, all my good friends were present, and the VIBE!!!!

I thought Toronto had lost the good ol party vibe, but I guess I was wrong. Everyone was extremely friendly, just dancing their asses off enjoying the music; no thugs, no attitude...it was GREAT!

I spent most of the night in the Orange Room, which blew my mind. I was dancing around with anyone and everyone...so many cool people. The night didn't really get started, imo, until Jelo hit the decks. From then on in it was pure madness. The entire crowd was into it. Dekoze ripped the room apart. I don't know where he gets his energy from, but the booth could barely contain him (did that make sense?). Great track selection, great mixing, great energy, nuff said.

Finally, I finished off the night to the mad techno beats of Dave Clarke. This was my first time hearing him (excluding earlier in the night at iDance) and after his set I have a new appreciation for Techno. He had the whole room dancing their asses off right til his last track at 7:30am (give or take), and people still wanted more.

All in all, if you couldn't tell from the above, I had a great night and everyone I saw and met their did as well. I'm SO glad I changed my mind and went to Summer's End opposed to Turbo...the money was well spent.

Not a bad party - I won't be going back to the Guv if I can help it though. It didn't matter how long I stayed in the shower, that dirty dirty feeling I got during my second "pat down" won't go away - the first dude was pretty thorough (went into my shoes) but the second line was where things went all wrong - this lady pulls my pants down in the crotch and reaches into my shorts for a feel. Then she cups my ass and leaves me feeling that I should have been treated to dinner first.

Anyway, once inside had a good time walking around, but the Guv was way too busy. Timo was ok, but the deep sound with sprinkles of cheese didn't do it for me so we left for Skybar after only 45 minutes or so. Nice bumping into Highsteppa & Gizmo, although I lost Giz after only 5 minutes in that Guv crowd. Wanted to stay for Dave Clarke, but my friends didn't so we jetted - note to the Guv complex folks - always leave that huge parachute up in the Warehouse - much better atmosphere.

Great party. The line was pretty brutal, but for the amount of people that made it to this event they handled it pretty well, and it was orderly all the way through. After waiting about an hour I got into another lineup (more like a mob) to catch the last hour of Timo's set, who rocked it. Throwing in some breaks near the end totally did it for me. I was supposed to meet a friend at Idance but he got sick, so I was at it all alone. I'm used to partying alone sobre, but dosing that night was kind of wierd. On my way to the Orange Room for Dekoze's set I ran into some people from work, so that was a relief! You can imagine how happy I was then. I stayed with them in the Kool Haus for DJ Sneak and Dave Clarke, and bounced in and out of the Orange room from time to time. I don't normally listen to techno but that was absolutely rocking, although I have to say that techno when you're tired isn't that much fun so I called it a night at 6. I can't say that it was the best party of the year, but it's up there.

Kenny was the highlight of my night. Better than Dave Clark in my opinion. Wikid to see him in a large venue...that guy never disapoints.
