i am sorry, joey, i could not dance with you
i was late to be back from koooky's
well,
i was there from 11pm till 12am,
and back from 3:30am ish till morning
not to miss @m's set..
so here is my thoughts:
a funky venue.
need more fresh air though!
the lights were too bright in the early evening.
the music was all good at first.
but me likes hard and dark stuff
when i was back,
@m was spinning.
pretty damn hard shite, mister-
i liked the choice of records you spun.
you made up for me from missing cari..hehe
and as kf also said,
i think your mixing got tidy too

big props to the subtransit crew - Tyler, Dan & Co. put together a sweet show
i gotta say thats *by far* the most fun i've had playing at Club 160, mostly due to the fact that the needles *finally* weren't skipping
great to see the tech-heads despite the stiff competition that evening - technocratic girl, tboy, joey, beaker, mr. tall, mystique0217, (very)hardtekfunk, kf, the vibe monkey, ba, kodos, and of course, miss madnezz
- braving the evening after a 17 hour workday!

I just want to thank everyone who came out helped make this party what it was last night. There was good vibe going- the venue was filled out nicely- and the tunes were awsome!
I think all the DJ's put down solid sets!
After @M.'s set Me (engine) and Dan (Fix) tag teamed for a bit when some random DJ from chicago showed up and was asking if he could join in the vrs fun times jamboree! So he hoped up and laid down some nice tunes- and then @M. stepped up and and threw down too!
Crazy night!
Big up to all the TBK I met that night- it was a good jam- look out for the next one (which will be out doors)

I was not there for too long but it did seem to be a fine time
I liked what they'd done with the space (I've not been there since December)
and the music of course was tasty
my only complaint was the lack of ventilation... which was not so bad until they turned on the smoke machine!!!! The air got so thick, it forced me outside, where I wound up eating a cheeseburger! an unfortunate sequence of events...
so I recommend that anyone else using that space - although it is a great space - please refrain from the smoke machines, at least until they put in some bigger windows and industrial fans!

i had fun, got there about 2:30ish waiting @ 24 hour kinko's for a slowass printer to finish up some flyering.. while coming up to the venue, i hear "toooooommmmmm!", and look up to see none but mizz madnezz herself almost falling out of the window

Failing to find anyone interested in joining me I ventured on my own to 160 Spadina in search of hard beats and Saturday fuzz drowning techno.
The last time I was at 160 Spadina was about 2 years ago and it was a boose can with white walls. The place looks Amazing now! Especially the painting of the woman n' robes next to the bar... I like blacklights so I didn't have any problem with the lights - except the one in the guys bathroom that spills over the dance floor when the door is left open... actually pretty cool watching people on the dance floor *wrapped* up with lazer scribbles...
Anyhow, good thing I went to this party to dance cuz I think I picked the most non-social place to sit. Duh. I briefly I saw a familiar pretty face, but she was quickly snatched up and carried away to a dark corner on the other side of the room.
There were some great dancers out... refreshing to see so many in a place without so much traffic. And especially one very happy person being very generous with
on the dancefloor...
Anyway, I ran away at about 4 to catch a ride... but it was a great party. I danced hard and my feet hurt.
I hope that says it all...

Kudos on the great tunes! I really liked the darkness of this party - ie sans blacklights, but they are cool too!
DJ's - super as usual - who do I remember? LOL Tommysmalls, Engine, @m, Basilisk, all really great tunes! Wished I was had not smoked up - makes me feel like sleeping so I stood around and talked a lot rather than dancing! My bad I know...
