thanks to everyone who showed up and contributed to the slammin' vibe all up in the place.
our sincerest apologies to all those who couldn't get in...we reached maximum capacity really early. small time peanuts promoters like us aren't really equipped to handle that situation...i guess it's time to move on up like the jeffersons.
anyways...anyone who couldn't get in...please email email@example.com with your name and address and we'll send out some free c64 mixtapes, and oldskool sets as our way of saying thanks.
stay tuned for more from those wee kidlets at splinter! booyakasha!
booty bits..i'm sorry we didn't get to chat more. my friend wasn't having the greatest time and i felt bad for dragging her there so we left early. it was great seeing dave, jane, ist, kevin, stewwy, kent and dual too.
altho i wasnt there too long, i absolutely fell in love with the last track that 0=0 dropped. oldskool yumminess.
and regardless of what you might think, i only consumed 3 drinks. or it might have been 4. never mind.
anyway, big up to vox, 0=0 and c64. the music was great all night.
i saw a ton of familiar smiling faces which just made the night go swimmingly.
its too bad that some folks were turned away at the door. i personally believe that the owner needs to look into some meditation zen karmic shit to help him calm the f down.
give that man some happy pills or something!
anyway, i think i speak for a lot of people when i say:
Splinter Productions: you kids are takin' off. GET A BIGGER, NICER VENUE FOR THE NEXT EVENT!
(maybe even one with a window and an owner with enough gumption to get him through a whole night of some bad ass jungle bidness.
oh, and tella, it was very nice to finally meet you. next time we will talk for longer.
patio-d and doublecross, did you guys go for cold tea like you wanted to?
fleaflo, thanks for everything -- especially the cab ride home at the end of the night.
Really good party last night, nice to see so many smiling faces out, both old and new. And you're right Liz, splinter are definitely outgrowing their home. Next party at the International Center maybe? Hall 6!
And there was no need for cold tea afterwards, we went to the 360 before last call... and we got to see a crazy woman smash a beer bottle and storm out as we were going in. Good times!
