one laptop with Ablton, one with Traktor. and from what I saw and heard he was mixing it all up in all sorts of ways!

really cool minimal setup... he threw down tracks and layers faster then I've seen anyone in anysetup do. the only thing I could compare it to is a three deck mix of hard driving techno..... but he kept at it with breakdowns and everything!

having missed the infamous night at element, i was super hyped for this last night. it surpassed my expectations.

:eek: What a nite... couldn't have asked for more! From start to finish the night was fantastic. First time seeing Speedy play and holy FU[K! is all I've got to say. I was in absolute techno bliss ... Speedy left me begging for more. Every tech-head who attended the event was there to dance - and 'oh thats just what we did.
What a vibe! :eek:

first time seeing speedy too.

re: set up..
it also appeared that he had different channels assigned through the Allen Heath for fx - so he could cut with fx.
he also had a little midi assignable knob unit (from what I could see), couldn't tell how this was rigged in the set up.

first time seeing him. he definitely delivered. I am still in shock of how good that was. just relentless.

I was catering a party on Saturday and had way too much work to do on Friday. By the time I finished everything I needed to get ready it was already 12:30 and I was wiped from shopping at St. Lawrence all morning and prepping all aft/night.

just encoding and uploading the audio right now..... lets just say... listening to it my heart gets all jittery.... Considering the fact that it wasn't an ideal situation, it turned out as good if not better then I expected. LOTS of screams and ppl just makin noise...... and there are points where I'm moving the camera around so the sound quality goes from being clear to muffled and visa-versa......

but hey.... atleast it exists!..... 1: 01 hours of the one they call the Speedy J.

...if I had a faster connection it would be online already. Oh well.... by tomorrow it should be up. I'll post the link then.
