I actually tried it for the first time last weekend when my cousin was here from England. She brought some over (powder form) with her and would just dab the tip of her finger in there.

It's actually a great thing for dancing (Duh!) and I just wondered how prevalent it is out there in the club scene in it's "pure" form: meaning not mixed in with E or coke or whatever.........

I have never encountered an actual person in my club travels who had any or used any in that way!

How easy is it to get...(I guess as easy as ANY drug)...How much does it go for? One things for sure, it's a good way to stay thin.............

    (i know, i know..................you don't have to say it!)

It's not for me, a friend wants to know!

grooviegurl, i would do more research on the long term effects of speed/crystal methampethamine before doing anything else.

Speed was quite popular amongst toronto partiers a few years ago, and there's a reason why it's died down. It's HORRIBLE for you, physically, mentally, emotionally.

    Do your research.

And btw, it's NOT the best way to stay thin. Unless you change the sentence to *it's a good way to stay thin and miserable.

    Drugs are bad, UMMMKAY!

Why not just use Caffeine Stacks and natural energy?

pharmaceutical amphetamines are safer than crystal as well, why don't you start popping dexies when you party?

By the same logic, coke is marginally safer than crystal, why don't you hop on that bandwagon?

I wouldn't go so far as to say cocaine is safer than methamphetamine, especially since most people use it in conjunction with alcohol, forming a highly toxic substance that increases the risk of heart problems by a factor of 20 compared to using cocaine alone.

Occasional use of methamphetamines or amphetamines isn't too bad for you at all. The problem is that, much like with cocaine, it is hard for many to remain occasional users.

If you do use methamphetamines, please utilize harm reduction techniques, such as loading up on antioxidants (vitamins A,C,E, and alpha lipoic acid), and use selenium, which has been shown to reduce the neurotoxicity.

Also, use it orally, i.e. don't snort. Smoother high this way, and not as big a crash; a harder come-down leads to a greater urge to do more, and that is a good way to lead to addiction.

Speed is a horrible drug. The risks involved are just not worth it, trust me. I've had two close friends go into rehab for just that.

Some experiences in life are just not worth indulging in, in my opinion.

Groovegirl - Pease listen to what Libradragon and pornstar are saying!! I HAD a very bad meth habit for about 3 anda half years. Not any more - Thank God!!It starts out as just a little fun and before you know it your really fucked up!(excuse my language). Do some e's before getting into meth or speed. Not that I am promoting that either. Meth, coke speed all of those drugs attack your nervous system. I have had medical issues directly linked to doing meth. Like I said it's so much fun at first- but then before you know it, it gets out of control. It is so not worth it!!You have know idea how addictive it is.I don't mean to give you some big long lecture but I just wanted to send some of my thoughts your way.

    Peace, Maxine

Thank god meth has fizzled it's way out of the scene. It was so sketchy and made a lot of people sketchy along with it. I find noe that it has vanished it has brought the community feeling back and stopped a lot of bad shit from still going down.

Meth is bad and trust me I know first hand how it can treat your body.

Polish Amphetamine also entered our scene at that time and it was a ass kicker too.

I have been hearing that Amphetamines have been hitting large again in Montreal, and lets just hope this doesnt happen again in Toronto.

i know exactly what you mean, geminigirl.

it was the easiest thing to do when you're in school full time but want to party with the best of them.

The solution was: don't sleep. And how was that accomplished? bingo.

Easily the most horrendous experience ever, especially when your friends all see it, and you don't.

GroovieGurl, i hope you do careful research. Depends on the type of personality you have.....maybe dabbling works for you.

It sure didn't work for most ppl.

Ain't nothing wrong with a little indulgence, unfortunately, it usually develops into something alot more dangerous.

But people will mostly learn the lessons, from their own experiences and experimentation. Just be careful, and be smart, although, this doesn't usually mean anything. There are plenty of really smart people who are addicted to drugs....

  21. PosTMOd

I know plenty of people who are occasional users.

The illusion that meth use has gone down stems from two things: the people who were heavy users have quit (and because they are quite vocal about their disdain, nobody tells them if they are indulging), and from the people who do indulge not being complete freaks about it.

It won't be long before you see the same cycle with cocaine. It is equally a dangerous drug as methamphetamine, and I would say even more so, since many use it with alcohol. Also, since it has come down in price, and for some reason has a reputation as being safer, there are more users now. Give it another 6 months or a year until the problems start coming into the spotlight (cocaine addiction can creap up over a long period, like 2 years, which is why it seems safer to so many).

I've seen a chunk of crystal burn a hole through a blanket before.
I've yet to see that happen with cocaine.

I think people who do lot's of crystal have very bad breath, whereas coke can leave a more neutral odor upon ones pallete.

the one time I did coke I knew I couldn't do it. I just don't have the will power to resist shit like that!

Postmod: I agree with you on some points about cocaine and MAnphets, but don't you think that coke has points that are way better that meth....like the high....the low....the next day...the toll it takes on your body.

I know they are both bad, but somehow coke just seems less bad...and I'm not saying it cause of its reputation, or the price or anything....I'm speaking from personal experience.
