...this was an event to celebrate the upcoming marriage of two people close to the Sourkey family. The Sourkey crew really outdid themselves in creating the theme of the party with an extreme amount of effort put in decorating the basement of Turbo...the music was a nice mix of styles ranging from jungle to new and old school hardcore, techno, and breaks...for the most part everyone seemed to make the switch from style to style fairly well...a decent crowd showed up...the sketch level was very low ...and it seemed like a sucessful party....

best wishes to the couple.

I wasn't aware of the fact that this was an all ages party

I went with Kul-Kat and when we first walked in we could see that the candy ravers were running rampant. Thanks to the nice girl at the front that gave us our money back almost immediately after we walked in

will!!!! you're making us look like supreme party snobs. if the first thing i see when i walk into a party is one of my students look at me wide-eyed in shock, i know i have to get outta there. it wasn't because of an influx of candy ravers that i wanted to leave. anyhow, yes, thank you very much sourkey for returning our money. it was greatly appreciated.

aphrodite, i actually emailed you about going to this party but it bounced. ah well, in retrospect, it was a good thing.
too bad will and i didn't end up staying long enough to even say hi. next time, for sure.

Sure, the crowd was a little young, but I'm not old enough to care yet. A good crowd came out, and I didn't find anyone passed out or anything like that. I was impressed with the production level of the party, the fruit, candy, decorations, and the whole red theme set the mood well. I'm not a big fan of hardcore, so the last 3 hours of the party is what did it for me. Everyone finally got up and danced when Mystical and Marcus came on, and for the next hour a prog-head ventures to the dark side. I *heart* DnB! The transition between styles worked well for me, my feet didn't miss a beat as Willar took over. Willar got to play around with a wide range of styles in his set; it was my first time hearing him but I really liked his selection. Chiclet kept the party going proper, it was cute how the sourkee people were handing out Chiclets when she came on. Her set just took me away, but I was worried it'd be over soon when the lights came on. Aprodite was cheering us on though, and nobody was in the mood to stop. The place kept on rocking for another 20 minutes but I really wish it could have gone for longer! Wicked party, and I hope they find their book of wedding wishes.

That was what I feared most when I was teaching.. thank god my students were as old as 12 .. most younger.
The worst thing that did happen was I was smoking a joint on my bike as I passed a parent.. I said hi and rode off like the wind.
