Source material for graphic design

Every now and then, I wonder... is there any spot on the web with free high-res textures and such, for use in graphic design?

I don't ask because I'm in need of any such thing, but rather... I take a lot of photos for use in my own design... close up pictures of organic patterns or rusted trashbins and such, to give my work a detailed texture. I wouldn't mind sharing photos. In fact, I'd really appreciate a dedicated community site where I could share them royalty free, and sift through other such contributions... raw materials for graphic design. Does any such place exist? Don't tell me DeviantArt

I've found that http://www.sxc.hu has a really great group of enthusiasts submitting photos to their library.

Not really a share site.. but they'll let you pick from LOTS of quality textures.
