Songs that make you blubber...

I think everyone has those certain songs that make you weep uncontrollably or send shivers down your spine....

For me, Maxwell's "This Woman's Work" always brings tears to my eyes. Damn that Maxwell.

Also, Elton John's "Tiny Dancer" makes me uncontrollably happy and of course, Puff the Magic Dragon, the saddest song ever written yo!! Stupid kid, why did he have to grow up???

What songs do that for YOU?

His version doesn't do anything for me.

The original, done by Kate Bush however, makes me want to cry.

YES! Not enough people have seen this gem of a movie. BBB, why am I not surprised you've seen it?

ps. I think some of it was filmed in Hamilton, and much was *definitely* filmed in Toronto.

You just made me remember another song that I haven't heard in YEARS, but I find very sentimental and emotional, Kate Bush's "The Man With The Child In His Eyes", as well as her duet with Peter Gabriel "Don't Give Up". I really like Kate Bush.

Even though the cardinal rule says the original is always better, I'm still a bigger fan of Maxwell's version. Although the lyrics hit home a lot more coming from Bush. I guess I just like the higher-pitched vocals.

Your exactly right! Originally I thought that the song was about a mother who lost her life while giving birth to her child. I'm not sure, but whatever, beautiful song.

The mall scenes were shot at Square One, I believe, and the laundromat scene was filmed at King/Dufferin.

When I first saw Hedwig I watched it twice in one night, rented it again the next night and ended up watching it 8 or 9 times in a month. Check out the documentary if you've got a DVD player, it's wikkid!

I also used to listen to the soundtrack 3 times a day. It was a sickness.
