Son Kite & Llopis a-la DSF & BLA (Sat. April 13th)

YAY! The DSF and BLA party at the Opera House featuring ‘Son Kite’ and ‘Llopis’ RAWKED! It was nice to have a change of venue. Being at the Reverb for so many events was taking it’s toll on me…I was starting to think I should just grab a cot and park myself behind the bar. ~le sigh~

The whole night was pretty sweet. The dance floor was full of great energy and it was nice to have the option of going upstairs and just relaxing on a chair avec table. (the only thing that annoyed me was everyone getting booted out of the seating area after last-call so they could shut-down the upstairs….gerrrrrrr…..gerrrr I say!) It’s too bad there weren’t more people there to see the kick-ass show though. Sometimes I get the feeling that people aren’t willing to go check out musical-acts that they’re not totally familiar with or aren’t in the ‘top-ten psy-hits’ of the month club! I wonder why more people don’t take advantage of such great opportunities to see international acts …especially bands that either have never made the trip to Toronto or haven’t been here for a long time. Meh. All that aside, the night was awesome-possum!

Thanx for throwing a kick-ass party kidzz!

You're right, people don't take enuff risk, that being said I'm ot a big fan of psy trance either but i wanted to check this simply because DSF brought Juno Reactor and Amampondo ages ago and I didn't get to go to that and have been kicking myself for it since...

Really wanna check a DSF event, next time I will!!!

Don't know either, but as long as this trend keeps up, people that attend these events will be able to cherish how different the atmosphere at psy parties are... like how almost everybody going there is an actual psy-head, kind of like a cult following. As opposed to people just looking for somewhere to get fuk'd up.
