Luke Fair is currently ranked way lower than last year - 227 compared to 101, any theories on how such a huge drop occured? I would have thought he'd crack the top 100 for sure this year with all of his productions and touring.

Fuck...just goes to show how much of a fucking joke that list is, obviously not representing true musical genius/forward thinking, kick ass producing, killer tune selection and all-around, general pimpness - which was Luke F on the scene this year.

No offense to you guys, but the list isn't about music, its about popularity. Once you accept that its alot easier to look at. :p

Thanks to the 123,933 of you that voted this year - we received over 30,000 more votes than last year's poll, and votes flooded in from 147 countries.

The results of the Top 100 DJs Poll 2005 will be announced at our glittering party at London's Ministry of Sound on Thursday 27th October.

    i voted for chipotle

"that list" results in djs making way more than they did the previous year (& vice versa)...for example, many of the top twenty drastically increase their wages as a direct result of this list once cracking it...

although its obviously inaccurate, the general public believes that it is, hence the wage increases.

what blows my mind is that the list pulls so much weight, with so few votes. 10% of 120,000 people are in the guvernment complex on a busy long weekend sunday??!!

its a bummer that more people within the true underground don't follow the list and vote in it because as jerome said, a dj's ranking affects his or her earnings in the coming year.

Thanks to wet t-shirt contests I'm happy to say they probably do understand the concept of voting very well.
