whoo, good thing i didnt pay $15 to NOT hear him spin.

i ended up sneaking into the Milk party at fez, getting caught buying weed (but not thrown out..."my doorman wants to throw you out, but i'll let you stay if you don't smoke it in here" "yeah, sure, man").

holy shit that place DIED after last call, lemme tell ya.

then it was steak and eggs at MARS on college after a HUGE spliff...yum!

Went to Turbo last night, and the door told me he wasn't playing. They reduced cover and drinks were still $2.50 which was a bonus. Contemplated going to Aria or Element or anywhere else, but stayed. Place packed up, unbelieveably, even with the news of the headliner selling out. Hope it doesn't turn into last summer with empty-Turbo-Fridays.

Well, Trace is supposed to be there in a couple and he hasn't been done in ages. Even the last jam he was supposed to be here he wasn't there.

That will be interesting to see. Let's see what other guests they might bring in.


ps. Last night I actually had fun. Friends were there, good crowd, music was pumpin with Toronto superstars even without the dubplate selection. Frosty was going to play dubplates, I just know it. BBC1 set earlier this week he was locking in tunes left, right and centre.

It's been hurting to find a home. Lots of places just don't have the headlining talent us snobs want. I think we all have some sort of weird love/hate relationship with Turbo. I just hope I don't get shot there.

I went the night Mystical Influence was spinning. It got pretty packed. I thought it would continue because they had some good djs spinning there. And girls were free...I like that shit.

It was fun when people went and it was free. I guess it's not so bad for $5, but I think Turbo will draw more of a crowd.

I think this summer Tuesdays@System will be a good thing. And of course Aria and Milanos on Sunday.
