Snoop D-O Double G

Went down to Hamilton to check one of my hip hop heros, the pimp dad Snoop. Gotta say, the godfather of pimp put on a wicked show. He brought his band -- the Snoopadelics, his cuz Supafly (vocals) and his dj Jam and proceeded to lay down classic beat after classic beat. Mostly all Doggy Style tunes.

I also thought that Snoop gave up the chronic last year but apparently I was wrong or Snoop is never allowed to give up the chronic. He was light'n up doobs people were throw'n on stage all night.

Solid show, except this was the worst crowd for a hip hop show I've ever seen. All the small town rapper white trash, IROC driving, mullet flowing, wifebeater wearing piece of trash was there last night. Definitely not like any Toronto hiphop show. Picture 3000 people like this:

And that was the crowd.

Still happy I got to see my man Snoop. Another Hip Hop hero checked off the list. Now if only EPMD and Erib B & Rakim would get back together and tour, I would be a happy man.

Yes! Definitly a great show, and I couldn't agree more about the crowd. Gross. I guess that's what you get when you go see Snoop in Hamiltizzle.

Tablist' the crowd would have been weak anywhere, not just Hamilton. At least 50% of the crowd were out of towners anyhow.

This isnt J5 or Gangstarr, Snoop is 100% mainstream and gets play at all the little highschoolers dances. They all rock it out on their weak ass systems during lunch break.

With Hip Hop being the number one form of music and all these stupid little white kids running around acting like the videos, would you expect anything else?

Snoop's great. One of the best of all time. He's done way too much to mention for hip hop and his music - but with all that fame and publicity comes alot of bandwagon jumpers who like him because it's cool right now. Not because they're faithful fans.

Put this show on, 5 year ago in Hamilton and its guaranteed that the crowd would have about 1/4 the amount of whack wannabe O.G. white kids in it.

I find it hillarious that the city tried to cancel the show because of Snoop's past and "all that gangster rap he represents"
