should reasons be given when posts/threads are deleted?

On pretty much every other msg board I visit, when posts and/or threads are deleted by a mod/admin., there's usually a reason given.

Alex, you can't even bother to let someone know why the post/thread was deleted so they're not confused as fuck?

why bother the spam policy clearly lists it and if you want to find out fire the man a PM. If you were dumb enough as to not be able to follow a spam policy why should anyone waist time on you.
