Short Wave Radio Was the Model For the Message Board

Skipping all technology arguments of the roots of both. I pose the statement that the Message Board is the Equivalent to short wave radios and transmitters.

- Short wave has its own "lingo"
- Short wave is basically anonymous, handels are commonly used rather than the individuals actual name.
- Listening to Short Wave is the equivalent of being to a lurker, scanners are a product specifically designed for this.


There are many many more.


Basically we have something in common with 60 year old fat truckers culturally.
