Chips Ahoy!!! As quoted by one patron aboard the mighty Flinders "barnacle barge"...
...; for anyone who attended this event and was left with little left in the expectation tank due to the obstacles encountered at this previous summer's "main event's"... YOU GOT PAID IN SPADES...HOLLY MOLLY!!! !!!
This was the perfect recipe for a Sunday afternoon. Friends both deep/intimate and casual were in attendance (TOBY you were missed). A solid line up fur shure!!! If you were not secure on top you were well taken care of - one deck below - with the likes of Jelo, EV, Jon Jon, Jeff Button (hope you like the pics) and Baby Joel( somehow you were occupying my lens).
Service was great from search to sip. The Vinyl Junkies saw us through departure with their brand of grooves and "silent bombs" (due to mechanical difficulties); the weather teased us a bit, but once KASKADE came on he somehow managed to communicate to the captain and command our journey, with the sickest summer set; including timeless classics and crowd participating vocals, through the ring of rain that circled the boat the whole trip. Not one centi-litre hit us. And as the lake wind cooled us out of the bay, the warm rays, back to port, found their way back to our side and steamed us back up for Kaskade's "Everything...(Big Room Mix)"; that's where I found myself moving with a TRIBE crowd that has just been a pig part of my great experience here in Toronto. And an extra special treat to the day, is that my wife was there to finally see what this is truly alll about...Great People & HOUSE MUSIC!!!
Enjoy the pictures (like the music that I share, these were taken with great appreciation for the photogs in the bunch)
Happy Monday!!!!
