Secret Santas and gift exchages

Its that time of the year again and we all either have gift exchages at work or with a group of friends. Our price cap is set @ $20 this year... I don't want to be lazy and just get gift certificates ... so throw me some ideas that would razzle and dazzle my co workers...

Did you pick a name? Perhaps a CD/book/DVD they'd like. I have to do the same thing and that's what I'm thinking. Or maybe a scarf or gloves...chocolates/candy...places like Indigo have lots of little gifts. Urban Outfitters also has tons of kooky things.

Its more of the pick a number variety gift exchange. People will choose gifts from a pile according to their number.

at my office we each pick a person and a theme - my theme for my boss is "wisdom". any suggestions?? so far i have thought about buddha incense holders, or i saw a set of mensa brain teasers..but neither of those appeal to me.

I hate Secret Santa gift exchanges. Why make me buy some cheap thing that the receipient may not even like and in return, I get some craptacular gift? Why don't we all just chip in $10-$20 and make an office donation to charity.

I like Secret Santas if I'm given a name...I hate the random ones because then people end up with generic stuff they probably don't want or aren't interested in. One guy at my work has to take part in three different gift exchanges, poor guy.
