I remember the way it used to be at warehouse parties and Raves in the early nineties. There used to be girls everywhere,
some of the most beautiful women I have ever seen. I remember my friends asking where do they come from cause this wasn't your typical female crowd, most of them were absolutely gorgeous. Nowadays you go to any club that places electronic music especially System and the ratio of guys to girls is 5 to 1. And some of the girls might as well be guys cause they dress like they are going to clean the toilet. What the Hell happened!
I was in Ibiza this summer and it sure as hell wasn't like that. And don't give me that bull that it is all about the music cause there was good music in the early nineties and there is in other cities too.
In Montreal you hurt your neck looking.
I am sick and Tired of going to Sausage parties how about you?

No I am not talking about house music they seem to be the parties with the women. Living room, Roxy Blu, Fluid any Gino club and yes they now all play house music. But any club that place that plays trance, progessive, techno or jungle might as well be called gay nights cause there are no women.

hmm, i wasn't there that night.

i was there for jmk. lots of girls around then.

the only times i notice the *sausage party* factor is when i go to clubs like system. which isn't very often anymore.

I liked Inside. whatever happened to that place now?

Wanna see lots of hot girls? Go to Wild Indigo on Saturday nights. It's a martini lounge at College and Clinton. For some reason the girl to guy ratio there is like 3:1.

Why don't you make friends with some women and invite them out with you so that regardless of sausage ratio you will always be surrounded by a phalanx of buns?

women: more than just something to look at

I couldn't agree more. Week in, week out at every kind of club--there are just tons of dudes. I see a 2-to-1 ratio of guys to girls, I get excited, since it's usually much worse. And it is worse in Toronto than other places, like Montreal.

I think in general more guys like to party, party regularly, and party hard than girls. Good clubs will do what they can to get more girls out, and often, as I'm sure you've seen, they will let girls line-bypass. I think that's the right thing, since we are all really happy to be at a party where we can dance with, chat with, look at and generally be around girls.

But if you're a club, it's tough to turn away paying guys just to improve the ratio a bit.

Bottom line, I hate sausage parties too, but there's not much way around it. My solution--bring a girl to a club with you and have fun, or drag a bunch of girl friends to come out with you and your guys. Then you don't notice it as much as when you're just testosterone.

Or move to Montreal....!

pretty much what i was thinking...and the last few trance parties ive been to (sonic state, thump, purple heaven) have had quite a few women actually...and most of them pretty damn fine if i do say so myself...

what? no way. more guys like to attend parties IN HOPES of getting a girl, therefore they pay more attention to the ratio. As if a 1:1 ratio is going to increase your chances of scoring. Especially in a club.

Puh-lease.

Guys should know better than trying to score at clubs. At least, scoring the good girls anyways.

In Montreal most clubs offer women open bar until 1am during the week. Some open bar all night. Some offer free entry on weekends they know if you don't get the girls out you don't get the guys. In toronto I think people or maybe just guys are stupid. If you stop going they will change the way they do business. Music sounds better in the company of beautiful women. If you really go for the music save yourself some money and buy the damn CD. But things have got to change!

If you're there to look at girls, go to a strip joint, at least you'll see them naked and won't have to drop dumb ass lines or try and show how much testosterone you have boiling over.

From the Ministry of but I have to admit, I would't get the free entertainment of watching people make asses of themselves on a weekly basis, showing off to the ladies.

perhaps pest should stop searching for an unatainable standard and appreciate every woman's beauty

as for letting women in for free b4 midnight or whatnot, i think its sexist.
the clubs are using women in order to get men to pay cover charges cause free entry for women = lots of women = better chance to get their fuck on.

for the clubs it also meand more drinks sold throughout the night (guys drink more, buying drinks for women, etc...)

women are bieng used and it makes me sick when i see this. do they not realize that the more women a club can pack inside (for free) that it gives men the impression that its going to be a night of shooting fish in a barrell?

does this make sense? i dont know...wheres my caffeine....

and the last thing i would want is for techno/electronic/rave clubs to become equivilant to gino-esque meat markets.

where was i...fuck...i had a point somewhere..i think.

anyways, i think most of us are going to such clubs because we want to hear good music, party with friends and have a good time. i could care less if i score or not, as long as i have fun.
if you dont agree with this view on the clubbing lifestyle then there are plenty of meat markets that will cater to your needs.

by the way, this in no way implies that the girls at said clubs are skanky ho's willing to sleep with anyone...the vibe is just in the air and it seems to be the vibe pest is craving.
