phew. what a crazy day. on top of MOVING that morning (which entailed staying up for about 2 straight days packing... ugh records)... i was so completely wiped out by about 9pm i started to worry i'd fall asleep in a corner somewhere!
anyway... got there with andrew at about 9.45pm... a handful of people there... we started with some quieter minimal stuff... and slowly built it up...
by 11pm the place was (surprisingly) packed (we'd kind of expected the empty room syndrome)... the energy level was sweet and i felt my own energy and mood just lift thanks to all the props and smiles from the dancefloor (such a good feeling!)... we decided to rip it up a bit and we did... oh yes we did.... got so hot my costume mustache melted right off! heh heh..
. fun fun!
its was a bit painful leaving the decks at midnight it was so rammed and jumping in there!
larry dropped a track or two and then nitin went on... no idea who he is, but he was good!
the rest of the night is a blur... some great music all around from larry, task and the everyone else involved (who was that wolfman jack guy?)... and so many fantastic costumes, friendly people (um... HOT people... hello!)... and two laid back chill spaces made it go smoothly...
left a bit earlier than expected... but by that point it was a day well done.
thanks to the salem's loft crew for a great halloween!
