Rural areas and fudge

Why is it that as soon as you drive out of the city, every other house/gift shop/grocery store sells fudge? It's weird.

I see this going snowboarding, to the cottage, Stratford, you name it...

fudge takes a lot of time and hard work to make.... but it's soooo good to eat.
it symbolizes how much slower and sweeter life is outside of the hustle and bustle of the city.

Because we have to do something with the sludge leftover from our methlabs. What would you do? Throw it in the lakes?? We don't roll like that out in the sticks!

there's a place in marmora right on #7 (yeah, like there's any other road in marmora) that has the best fudge in the world.

I can't believe it but I think I've actually had fudge from that place and it's amazing. I used to have a cottage on Crowe Lake.

funny story:

in high school, we were hanging out at my portugese friend's house just chillin in the living room, making fun of each other.
My one friend, after being insulted, retorted with "Shut up, fudgepacker!"
My portugese friend's grandma, sitting at the table, looks in our direction and her eyes lit up. She said "I used to be a fudgepacker!".

Then proceeded to tell us stories of working in a fudge factory.

Ha. I die for the specialty fudges with pieces of candy bars and cookies in them.

Define lot of time and hard work? Fudge is pretty easy to make and doesn't take long, except waiting for it to cool. That being said I like it about as much as I like saltwater taffy, which isn't very much.

I thought it's what they did with the leftover fertilizer and dead cow fetuses

I was in St. Jacobs last summer and there was a pick your own fudge farm, it seemed like a suckery tourist trap so I avoided it, and choose to ride the minature railway instead.
