Holy #@%$ing shit is the way to put it! I wasn't too hype for the show cause I'm not that into bristol stuff...but after seeing Reprazent tonite.....damn! It was sick!! Dynamite really knows how to work a crowd and to see drum and bass broken down to just instruments was just amazing! I'm glad I had the opportunity to see this!

PUUUUUURRREEEEE MADNESS.
absolutely the greatest night of drum and bass i've experienced....i don't think anything could surpass tonite.

my english muffin looked lovely as always. the music was incredible (to whoever said that reprazent isn't drum and bass....you seriously should have checked out the show tonite cos i'm positive you'd be singing a different tune). the mix they threw down of their greatest tracks was amazing....onalee was great..girlfriend has so much stamina shaking her ass up on that stage...dynamite was a great master of ceremonies (BOOOOOO
smile.gif
)everything together was just....words cannot describe how great it was.

and suv's set in the beginning was awesome as well

great start to a perfect night.

ras..it was nice meeting you and your friends (i'm sorry..i'm bad with names). stormshadow and ist.....nice seeing you two again.

Suv played sweet, sweet tracks to start the night off.

Words cannot describe what we saw that night.

Favourite track was Lucky Pressure for sure, pure nutzness.

I consider myself lucky to have seen this.

Oh... and was it hype enough when they dropped "Our Disease Tera" whut!!

Easy,

kid Sean

reprazent was a pretty great show. walking in to discover that suv had just started djing pretty much made my night... seeing as suv is one of my favorite djs/producers and he had the best performance at turbo that i've seen so far (including andy c twice!).

i was happy to see that everyone was there...suv, size, die, krust, dynamite, onalee...in fact, for a while i was wondering if we were going to see a surprise method man appearance, but it never happened.

the biggest thing that impressed me was how tight the band and the performance was. so much tighter than the other live dnb performances i've seen. to me that has been the biggest thing lacking in some of the live dnb performances i've seen...one of the things that i really love about dnb that you get when you do production on a computer is the precision, the exactness synchronization of so many instruments/tracks to the exact same time signature, nothing coming in a split second early or late...well reprazent managed to duplicate that live, which must be pretty fucking hard. that was my biggest complaint about performances like krust live @ industry last year, but not at this show.

i saw some tribe folks (tella and stormshadow, it was nice meeting you -- nice pics natalie!)... and missed others

although, all things being equal, i'd still rather see a dj spin than a live dnb band. at one point i realized that if the performers had been spinning instead of doing the live reprazent thing last night, we would have got roni size, suv, die, and krust on the decks with dynamite dropping lyrics...which would have been pretty amazing as well.

so for those people that were there that didn't like the new album...any thoughts?

plus the venue was pretty great...i've never been to the government except for parties and concerts, never been when it's the guvernment (i'm allergic to their musical policy) ... i had forgotten what a good venue it was. we need more jungle parties/events there.

The reprazent show was awesome! I went with my boyfriend (pHiL from pHryL) and we had a blast! Lucky it wasn't our first date (that was aphrodite 3 years ago) we were out of control! HAHAHAH Joga can attest to that! Evolved sexual energy was passed between us!!!

i've been waiting to write a proper review about this show since i've been worked up for the past couple of days.

i walked into the warehouse a couple of minutes after 9 expecting to see that the show had already started. karma was definitely on my side monday night because the show still hadn't started and suv was on the decks. nice! he spun a very nice set, full of bristol tunes. rollers, jazzy tunes, vocal drenched numbers....i loved it. i was at the bar when he dropped mine and i thought i was going to explode. at about 10.20 he started pointing to his watch signalling that the show was going to start soon.

reprazent took the stage at about 10.30 and i honestly can't remember which track they started the show off with. i'm thinking it's brown paper bag, but it could have been railing. eitherway it was hype! when dynamite took the stage the crowd went nuts. the crowd was different from crowds i'm used to seeing out but it was cool because everyone was there for one reaosn and it was to enjoy themselves. i was surrounded by people who could not stop smiling. it was infectious.

just when i didn't think the show could get any better..it did. the mix of the crew's biggest tracks was absolutely amazing! yeah, ppl may argue that it wasn't live which defames it but it was still sick. think of any big full cycle or v tune and they played it. nasty!

there was a point in the show when i stopped dancing for a second and just stood there in total awe of what they were doing. for them to be in total synch with eahcother and make it all sound that good live was totally amazing. there were points where i forgot that i was at a live show instead of being in front of a dj and turntables.

the end of the show was great. they played share the fall and their encore was brown paper bag (in england, when we like something, we do it twice...ha). i was sad to see the show end...but i don't think i could take another minute of all that madness
smile.gif

now that i look back at it, the show did one big thing for me. it made me appreciate both cd's even more than i already do, and my respect for the whole crew's talent has seriously increased.

all in all, a great, wicked night. i feel bad for anyone who missed it.
