i dont think thats too much, youll pay more to get in everywhere on a long weekend, even fluid across the street with zrf charges 20 on long weekends...

They totally renovated the place. It looks great! They made excelent use of the space and there is a lot more room to dance now. Sound system is also beefed up and sounds awsome. They also redid the side room and it's a nice place to chill. Should be good...

they only charge 20 on long weekend sundays tho, not regular sundays...

This is weird but I have never heard any tracks albums or sets by Roger Sanchez, other than his clubby "Another Chance" song.
What type of house does he spin? Can anyone recommend a live set or something of his that I can download that will be closest to what he might spin on Sunday? If anyone has any idea that is...

When i heard me a year or 2 ago, he was mixing everything from basement jaxx to coco and stonebridge, and mixing it very tight indeed.
anything that's good that's house he'll play.
house music all night long.

Hearing Roger Sanchez live is an 'experience'. The man feels out the crowd and gives them what they need. He's pretty much up there feeling the vibe with everyone that's there. In an intimate setting like Madbar, it will only be enchanced. Perfect party for an ending to my B-day weekend.

Roger spins all types of house but generaly keeps it soulful. Trust me, if you like any type of house, you won't be dissapointed.

I downloaded one of his live sets...don't remember the name now somewhere in europe i think. Didn't sound very soulful. More like a Dj Dan pumpy house kinda thing. Didn't turn my crank anyway.
And alas i have to work monday so i won't be able to find out regardless.

^^^ Actualy I don't work for neither although I've spun @ Madbar a couple times and hope to do a little promoting there...

Besides, I don't think I need to promote 'shit' for this event cuz it's gonna be ramed! The guy owns on the decks and he's awsome in the studio too. He's one of the top DJ's in the world for house and he plays a wide variety of it too, which is probably why you heard what you heard. I was just being general about his style.

I'm actually surprised you havn't heard of him before, he's been around long..., and yes I'm really looking forward to this party, I havn't heard him since 'Industry".

Orange i said i hadn't heard any of his music. I've heard of the man himself. Anyway you try living in Kingston and finding any good music! I've had to do a lot of independent work to find good music. (ie searching the net) And thanks to sites like Tribe here ive been fortunate to do so.
I'm sure if i was in Toronto i would be at this party. I like intimate jams, and long sets. Like i said the only reason im not going is cause i have to work.

Anyway, l hope it goes off. Let me know.
