Sadly he knew he was. i suspect the band did as well. Pretty tough to keep the lid on something like this for 3 days with zero media.
Rough go for him. Lost his daughter and then his wife, ten months apart in ‘97-‘98. Took off on his bike and then came back, playing with traditional grip, after playing with matched-grip for his entire life. ...and with the same virtuosity.
I know RUSH are an acquired taste and that Geddy’s voice can be like nails on a chalk-board at times. ...but the creativity and musicianship in that band was unparalleled and Neil Peart was the rock and/or roll! NOBODY plays the drums like him.
