When i first came to toronto I danced on Electric Circus ( for shame i know... no regrets... anyway ) and got a chance to meet him. Not only was he one of the coolest people I've met here... but he remebered the name of an electric Circus dancer for god sakes. This guy is one of the most recognised canadians who has yet to run "down south" for money. He's great at what he does. To say he should be "beat up" is just plain ignorant... nobody deserves to be beat up. Why would you beat someone unthreatening anyway? I'm non threatening and easy to get along with... does this lend me to being flogged with sticks? He's got a job and he does it well... leave him alone...

Oh yeah P.S. He's called Rick the temp because that's what people called him first... If your parents had named you smile the frown spreader you'd still be called that by some people... I'm sorry to get all worked up but i have a strict "defend those who can't defend themselves" policy...

i don't care who it is, Much Music is a piece of trash with no worthwhile content WHATSOEVER (apart from George Stombolopolous tidbits).
Even the commercials suck.
I used to watch that channel all the time, but now it's nothing but a hype machine for big record companies.
In a way, I'd LOVE to get a VJ job there to stir up some life....

Hey...In my opinion....
Much Music and Rick the Temp aren't so bad. I have sat TV and I have been able to ingest a ton of MTV as well as VH-1. I think that we have some good product with Much.
Nonetheless..... I have been to the Bahamas and caught MUCH on the TV while in a hotel. When I went to see U2 in Miami in December, many folks there watch lots of Much Music, and enjoy the Canadian Programming.

Also agreed. I used to really like the Wedge too. Remember City Limits? They played some cool underground on there years ago.
I met George's brother Jim when I was in Prague. I thought he looked 25, but he was 38.
George Strompoulous (sp?) is a great reporter and interviewer. He speaks a bit too quickly imo.
I don't watch Much alot anymore. At least it's better than MTV.
I hate it when the VJ's go on and on and on. Trying to fill in time with lame jokes.
Anywho, that Rainbow guy ain't bad. Kinda cute too.
And I'm pretty sure Namugyeni lives in my building. She just moved in and I ran into her a couple times.

I thought Rick seemed like this pretentious jerk as well, but after meeting him, he really was a nice guy. He was interested in what you had to say and he pays attention. Now I find him quite funny when watching him on tv.

I've been mistaken for Bradford before, by Brian (Tranceaholic) on a subway, and another time a woman at work asked if I was related to him.

And I don't mind Rick the Temp, he's better than a lot of past VJ's, not that I even watch more than 5 minutes of MuchMusic in a week.

...it's reassuring to hear that i'm not the only one who has become totally indifferent.... i can't remember the last time i actively sought out any mm programming..... so contrived and commercial it's nauseating
however, i would most definitely tune-in if @m's wish was fulfilled
