Recommend me a CMS?

A client has asked us to recommend an off-the-shelf Content Management System. There's tons out there – anyone have any experience with any specifics, either positive or negative?

A few of the criteria we're looking for:
  • Easy to use (drag and drop, inline editing, image resizing)
  • Multi-lingual content abilities
  • Super admin + authorized users
  • XHTML compliant
  • runs on IIS

Has a good selection of the most popular ones. I so far like geeklog and e107.

nice. good resource. unfortunately this client wants to stay away from the PHP/MySQL combo. their tech guy is an ASP.NET head and doesn't know PHP at all. I know that's kind of the point of a CMS system, but we'll be looking at a relatively high degree of customization and they want the comfort level of a system using something their guy knows.

I've been checking out http://www.cmsmatrix.org but damn that's a huge list, and there doesn't seem to be any type of overall ranking system. Anyone else got any suggestions?

that's a stupid requirement since you can find php coders anywhere cheaply these days (even at comfort zone). i suppose the guy wants to create job security.
