We're going to longer sets for future parties. The problem is that there are SO many good locals that have all asked for a chance to spin. We've tried to give a veritable plethora of styles and bring in different DJ's each party while still providing your favs like Dam, Jeb, and Satori.
I've got the following on the list for future, but have little in stone from any yet: Nivoc (twisting his arm to spin a goa set - who knows if he will?), Mantra (Phat Conductor), Kodos (Ektoplasm's Scott), Ether (Winnipeg), C-64, Resonoise DJ's for a label party (and perhaps Shakta, Magus or Mekanoj live), Etnica (for Om, depending on proposal and money), Skazi (Feb hopefully, depending on money), Hallucinogen (March or April in conjunction with allies in Montreal), PTK (local PsyTrance act about to put out a first album - opened for Analog Pussy), Twitch, and the return of John Dee, Psiko-Tek, High Voltage, Pharmakon and Jarek.
We've got a great amount of cooperation amongst the Tribes of Psy right now, and with a growing scene that appears to have reached critical mass (338 at Resistor on Saturday), we can think about booking bigger acts and doing more parties. I have heard rumours of TWO monthly parties (one Resistor, one other... guess!) to supplement the regular Saturdays at Area51, as well as a few beach parties planned for next year. The success of the scene, meaning our confidence in bringing bigger names and doing numerous parties, really depends on word of mouth and how many people we know we can count on to support us *hint* *hint*. Spread the word on the Fight to Trance...
