mkay. having just got home I am not fully functional, but all I have to say is FUCKING HEY!

What a stellar party. Honestly.

Basilisk where have you been all my life?
He threw down track after track of pure goa goodness, in the truest sense of the word. It was so banging and FUCKING GOOD! Honest to goodness, what a genius.

And all I remember after his set was loosing myself in all the was Satori. I couldn't stop dancing my ass off, bopping in front of the stage. He never EVER disapoints.

Honestly here, We have found something spectacular in R31570R. There are amazing people (and a large mix at that) and the music is NEVER EVER short of being damn good!

fucking rights.

thanks again for a smashing night.

sweet photos rob.

and for the record, that banana saw a lot of action last night ;)

fun times for my first goa party! wicked to see so many friends.
spent about fifteen minutes in the hardcore room-- the floor was bouncing like crazy in there! conclusion: gabber is funny, i don't understand it.
the rest of the evening was spent in the main room-- thumbs up for basilisk and satori, you guys kicked ass.
all in all a great night :)

YAAAAY! YAAAAAAAAAAY!

Heh, you defenitely looked like you were having fun. :)

I have to say last night was my favourite resistor yet.

There's not much more that I can add about Basilisk and Satori... But I can say that Psyclone and Dam's sets were great too.

And the new backdrops they got were really cool. I especially liked the green one with the two people that looked like they were exploring an air vent or... something... Really cool.

What a party!!! :D

Resistor totally rocked it again last night. Got there a few minutes into Basilisk's set, and he definitely gets the award for set of the night. I'd been waiting to finally hear what the encyclopedia of psy-trance, Scott aka Kodos, had to spin and I was surprised and totally impressed! Very well programmed and incredibly mixed full-on psy trance started off the night appropriately.

My other highlight was of course Satori's techno set. His track selection and technical skills impress time and time again. :)

Another great show from the Resistor crew!

re: the stupid fukin' banana shots:

My resistance was futile. I got ambushed and forcefed. The jolt of potassium served me well, however, as I danced for many minutes at a time (possibly because of the music and the hype crowd) and I've discovered that if I ever had to be somebody's bitch, I can deep throat pretty well...

on a side note: if the guy who went after Satori would like his records mixed for him next time while he busts out the moves, I'd be happy to do it for him. He's got good tunes but I've failed to understand his need for the headphones...;) Not that anybody in the crowd really cared much about the technical side of things...

It Was A Good Party. (Thanks to Roberto for dragging my carcass out, 4eel.. Shouts to our crew, pictured extensively above...xo's all around... and stuff...)

What a welcome cure for the winter blahz. Full-on beats R351570R styles puttin smiles on everyone's faces. Seemed like everyone needed a party like this since there's been shyat since new years. Great decor as usual.. wicked vibz and free fruit was, as always, a great touch.

Only got to hear Basilisk and Blue however both threw down real smooth sets. A nice mixup in the mainroom starting with ambient/experimental and moving more towards some quirky psy/goa stuff from Scott. Great to see different styles always being injected to keep things fresh.

Respect to clay and hil and all the rest involved.. very good showing considering how much promotion was done.

Cyber-Faeries

It was an awesome party, and tanx to all who made it out despite the February blooz. We're hard at work on updating the site and planning the rest of the year, so keep in contact about themes, DJ's, trax, live acts or other things that you'd like to see. We usually start a rumour mill when things look firm, so keep your ears to the ground.

I thought that Scott did a fantastic jobs on the knobs and am sorry that I didn't book him sooner. I promise that we'll ask Basilisk back to repeat the performance. I'm also looking forward to spinning with both he and Subsonic Chronic at Datura this Friday to innaugurate the legitimate wing of Freespace.

Many thanks go to 4rk4ng3l, who painted the wonderful tapestries that you saw displayed. We've just come from signing a deal to buy 8 in total from her over the next few months, and will reveal a new one at every party. Her art is also on display for sale (awesome mixed-media pieces of crushed cyber-faeries all of which are beautifully framed) at Abstract Reality on Queen West. Drop in just to have a look, and look for my favourite, the faery caught in a headlamp... . Her tapestries sell for $300-$1000 if you're interested in having UV art done, and she also does custome work. We can't wait to see her go far on the International deco scene, as she prepares her show for the road.

Love and Light from the edge of reality,
Psy-Clone and bathory

since graver can post the same thing here as he did on TR maybe I will too!

nah, i wont. i have more style than that ;)

Thanks to everyone who came out, the night was fantastic as always! Thank you arch_angelXXX for painting us some AMAZING tapestries (she may take comissions starting at $500cad, not $300,to clear up any confusion...) there are many more to come so, as ever, our deco is expanding (and less ghetto! :D )

I hope to see you all (and more) at the next R351570R on march 23rd (a week earlier than usual) for more crazy loud music, new deco and a bunch of other neat things we're thinking about adding... but since this isnt the events forum...

Can I steal your pics for the soon to be completely renovated website? they are fantastic :D

so.. yeah.. that's my big happy the party-went-well post ;)

cheers!

that was SUCH A HYPE JAM!!!

my first resistor party...mostly stayed upstairs in the smerk room...and it was mad hype!

pure underground sounds being dropped from the likes of c64, knifehandchop and skeeter...

it's suprising that these people have international releases and are almost completely unrecognized within the city!

can't wait for the next jam.

oh...and mad biggups to the hottie goth chicks

moez: you don't know me from adam...but i like that top you're wearing...do you mind sharing where you got it? you look smashing in it.

Foxety Voxety was there? And upstairs? I don't know how I missed ya!

Anyways, as expected, Resistor pulled through again - it's also good to see more people coming out to these things - it seems like everytime I go there are more and more people I know there!
