Promoting for jungle Parties/How to go about it???

1) promote party in local "techno/raver" shops
2) hand out flyers at upcomming parties
3) do not throw said jungle party in cambridge.
4) if for some reason you cannot have party anywhere else other than cambridge, then do not have it at "twilight" or whatever it's called now. or the bakery, crap ass venu = suckfest!
5) define gwannin. now.

I think he's reffering to the fact that he wants to start flyering for an established company
I used to flyer in TO for various companies when I was living in Burlington ... and honestly it's not really worth it ... yea you meet some nice people and all ... but when you add up all the money you spend on gas and parking ... it's not worth it

I think the only people who would do it for free woiuld be young kids doing it for rave promoters.

Damn I never knew that I'd get such sarcastic responses all I wanted to do was Help out man. I'm doin it for the music. I could careless about gettin in for free and whatever else come with that crap. and to the buddy that's trash talkin the "Twilight" or should i say the newly renovated "MIST" go back to partying at packed ass venues when I can hear Dj's that are local around here that whoop alot of the Dj's spinnin today , mixing wise and choon wise. Trust me. All you party go'ers are stuck up snobs, no respect whatever. Anyways I just wanted some positive responses das all.

sorry man. i knew one guy who flyered for lifeforce, that's about it. he got into it when he bumped into some lifeforce guy at a record store i think, and the guy hooked him up with a job since no one had been assigned to promoting in his area yet (north york).

i think it's great that you want to help out.... i was just making fun of your choice of words. first rule: if you want a promoter to hire you, you should show that you would represent the company well. if you wrote this thread with better wording, i bet you would have landed a flyering position.

Well I just wanna say , that all i wanted was some info , on how to go about flyering. First of I never said anything at all about wanting to stand outside handin flyers to sketch tards or wantin to get in free. All i wanted to know was who could I talk too about itil/ICQ#?) I do it just to get the respect out of it. I could careless about what comes with flyerin. I just want to help out down here in cambridge , sorry that I asked.
Plato I have a question for U , have you ever been to the MIST (formerly the twilight) lately? If you haven't stop bashin it ok. Plus the place is renovated nicely , it's not "Club Ghetto" anymore. But seein how you don't have your facts straight.......nuff said.

such as location, liquor licence, etc...

true, but did you not inquire about what flyering involves??
the major part of flyering involves standing outside, giving flyers to people leaving parties/clubs.
however, people could have been a *tad* nicer when responding.
but if you wanna flyer for a promotion company you will be standing outside, giving flyers out.
possibly also distributing the flyers to clothing/record stores, depending on how the promotion company handles distribution.
have fun! (flyering is best on hot summer nites and while drunk!!)
