Progressive-flavoured new years eve?

Hi all,

It's been some time since I've been out to a club (July anyone?!), so I figured I might make my return on New Years Eve.

The problem is, I've noticed that there doesn't seem to be much going on Toronto progressive-house-wise? I mean, System is doing locals and Pulse has Scaife, but that's all I seem to be able to find?

Is no 'big name' playing in town? I'm curiuos because I wouldn't mind tearing some rug and having some fun for once.

Cheers,
JK

Why pay 30-60 bones for locals with cheap bubbly at midnight. IMO staying home and going out new years day is the best value. Boa or CZ should have a decent lineup all day.

sorry I can't help.

I am probably going to be hanging out at various different house parties.. they are much more fun than a club IMO.
Well, it depends if you are going to a club with your friends then it is totally a different story. Ummm, I was thinking of going to the comfort zone this year ...like really late but then I saw that they were charging $35.00... so I was sort of disspointed with that. I mean, I was expecting to pay $20.00 the most!
Anyways, system has residents and the guv. has some other sort of shinding which is looking terrible IMO. It is all about the small parties or house parties this new year's in my humble opinion.

I think there are some good shows happening the first week after the new year's though.

I think I'm staying home. No offense to our fine local DJs, but I've caught them play many a time and was looking for something a little different. I wish I could make Sander at Boa Redux, but alas, I'm working. I'm always fucking working! :(

Cheers,
JK

Haha. Yeah. After all, I do that all the time. In fact I'm a huge drug addict.

You obviously have something against me so whatever man. I don't even know you. I bet you feel all warm and fuzzy inside for saying that for merely asking what's going on on NYE. Gotta love the Tribe board!

Cheers,
JK

I have been there once. And since there was nothing much else with regards to dance music that I am interested in, I thought what the hell, I'll give it a try. Then I saw the pri.... not a big deal.

Umm, loopdokter... sander k. is spinning at boa-redux. it's on the 27th of december. it should be fun.

maybe I'll consider that.

they are even playing his track... "my lexicon" on their website.

I know. But alas, I'm working. No doubt that makes Videotronic all the more giddy inside with anticipation that I won't be there.

Cheers,

I would go to system for New Years if you're into that kind of thing They will have Breaks, Techno, prog. House; I will be going to this. I went last year with some of my friends and had a wicked time. What I usually do is go to a house party and end off my night at system.
