one of my college buddies has been "working" for them for almsot two years now. in that time he has earned ~$5000. not that he has "worked" very hard.

i wish i had rich parents to buy me a condo and deposit money in my account monthly too.

I wouldn't call it a scam or a pyramid

Essentialy, all businesses are pyramids,..you climb high enough to the top and you always come to 1 guy

Don't work for Primierica unless your prepared to sell, if you don't sell, you don't make money, you don't get paid for training either.....I had a brief stint with them and another similar company called WMA. A few of my friends made a lot of money from companies like this but they had to sell a lot of insurance policies and a lot of mutual funds, and I'm just not the saleman type.

Lisa, if you are interested in joining the financial services industry send me a copy of your resume...unfortunately with the merger here at TDCT i can't do a whole lot right now, but i do have some contacts at other banks...

the best way to get looks from banks etc, is to complete your CSC...you can get the information from www.csi.ca...this course is a good starting point...cost is a little steep at $400...

primerica is a division of citigroup, but doesn't have a strong reputation...i believe they may have made some changes recently, but still wouldn't recommend this as a career option...

anyways my email is johncrossley@rogers.com ... i'll see what i can do...

no, in a bay st condo his parents bought for him. he got zero return in the first 18 months with them, now he is starting to see some money but only because he's doing office work for them in addition to the 'consulting'.

but it's perfect for his smoke-a-half-ounce-every-week lifestyle.

primerica is an awful company. Ive seen it destroy friendships and fuck families.

Basically they run under the guise of selling mutual funds when in reality they make money by recruiting.

One dude here in london was trying to recruit my roomate, apparently he would sit in his office all day, call up places that get alot of job apps and try and get their resumes so that he can try and recruit these people.

He would then sit down, open up the phone book and randomly cold-call people in the city and try and recruit them.

He was that desperate, because they had sucked him in that deep.

Another ex-friend of mine's dad worked for them, got his son working for them, his son tried to get us all to work for him..fuck that.

Word of advice: DONT work for them.

Vector marketing is horrible too.

^^^ yeah thats another thing....they do a lot of cold calling

I wouldn't suggest working for them either

There are many more reputable ways to get into the financial industry without having to go to school for 4 years.
