i know... and i emailed play de record to order it, along with another record but they haven't emailed me back in over three weeks...

Out of the 3 records that I ordered off of gemm.com, I only received 2...and 1 of them took 3 months. and is now available on every record online shop. The other record I got in pretty good time (5 days from the UK), and have yet to get my statement, so we'll see what happens...

The nice thing about Gemm is that it's somewhat like E-Bay. You are buying these records off of record stores usually, and you can rate them. The one that took 3 months actually had a good rating, but I guess something ended up happening to hold it up...

I ordered Pilot - Indian Summer (the one that came in 5 days) and Time - Miguel Graca & Trevor Walker (20:20 Vision Remix)

here's what you gotta do when using gemm:

1. check and see if the seller actually has the record in stock or if they are simply going to try and order it for you. you can check this by clicking on the info link beside each record.

2. only buy from sellers with a 4 or more star rating.

3. check and see if the seller charges anything additional
ie. gemm 15% surcharge
or ridiculous shipping prices (i once paid $18 US to get a record shipped from chicago - the record was only 7.99!!)
-you can check this by clicking on the shipping policies link under each seller.


follow these steps and you should make out quite well. my biggest tip is making sure the item is in stock and make sure you know all the extra charges that may be included.
