My Internet bubble has been inundated all about it and I don't even know anyone who has ever played it. Twitter is flowing all about it. This morning I get in the whip after the gym and turn on the Radio and CBC is interviewing a super nerd about it. Shit's crazy. What is this life?

I have at least 3-5 people playing at work and know collectively at least 20 people playing it and talking shit to other peeps playing it. Its hilarious that the company has apparently increased its net worth, or made something like 8 Billion in a week.( all heresay , dont really care that much.)

Its essentially Geo Caching all over again. Its bridging race and religion as last night two black guys and a white guy were stopped in a park by a cop @ 3am

He asked them what they were doing, convinced it was a drug deal, they show him pokemon go, and he installs it and starts playing with them.

i saw a couple of news reports on this. in the demonstrations of the new app, it seems that people see on their phones the little pokemon characters in real world settings, and then they capture or shoot them. it does not look fun, so i'm wondering what i'm missing.

the original pokemon was a video game (which i never played) and a retarded cartoon that was unwatchable. i think the premise involves humans gathering pet pokemon monsters and fighting pokemon monsters owned by other humans. kind of like dog or cock fighting, but acceptable for some reason.

i always thought it was one of those retarded japanese things - like power rangers, voltron, dragon ball and astroboy - that were inexplicably popular but unwatchable for adults.

I don't see why this is mock-worthy or even article worthy - to say nothing of connecting it to grand themes of our Capitalist Moment.

Online Poker or the Kardashian game/app a better fit for that dontcha think?

Voltron and Tetsuawan Atom aka Astro Boy are NOT on the same level as the other two PRETENDERS on your list.

Pokemon GO aka Geo caching Digital Animated Entrapment aka accessing all the shit on your phone including , pokemon pornography files, with your dick as a pokemon and getting other people to look at it through your phone etc zero cares if you are still reading this i dont know why you are , but couldnt care less as im two pints deep after lunch and almost didnt come back to work, its to nice out, # dontwanttoworksummersanymore

I personally find this game good for people its got them walking and hunting , finding dead bodies and allowing for people to shame others for not being at good at not working and finding 'Mons' all the day , whilst the world burns.

The whole basic premise of Pokemon is to collect pokemon (and try to get those rare and cool ones) and then compete against others to get their pokemon if you win.

Which isn't much different in concept than marbles, followed by pogs, followed by beyblade, followed by......
