Planet X: is the sky falling or what?

Has anyone heard the conspiracy theory on it? I'm reading it right now and it's totally blind sided me planetarily. :p but the more I'm reading, the more I'm curious. Some of the new age stuff seems silly, but some of it..... meh!..... and some is interesting.

anyone following the whole Planet X thing?

I would read it, if it didnt feel like it was written by someone in grade nine.

Can they use the term "Naysayers and Debunkers" any more in one paragraph?

Ugh.

Feel free to post a synopsis, but I dont have the mental energy to read through all that. (Just wrote an exam)

I was in a cab once and the cab driver went off about Planet X, and how the world is going to end.

thats just it....... i came across some quack of a webpage started me searching for more info. It was talking about 12/12/03 and how dangerous that day is.... blah blah blah....

I'd NEVER heard of this theory..... It's full of history, science, and conspiracy in ways that make the X-Files seem shallow. how a planet can have such a screwy orbit is beyond me. why/how would a planet come by once every couple of thousand of years without lossing it's orbit to any other star that happens to pass by.

Why?

As far as I've ever bothered to follow this "conspiracy" (which isn't a fucking conspiracy mmmkay?), a tenth planet would help explain some of the orbital discrepancies in our solar system...*shrugs* why discount a theory that's grounded in a plausible hypothesis?

Now, if you're a believer in it because the ancient egyptians wrote about it, then you're just being silly. :p

true there is not enough mass in our solar system that would warrant current planetary orbits.

c'mon people... you're forgetting about the Sumerians.

cuneiform is difficult to translate. even zecharia, a prominent scholar, and one of few who can translate could make mistranlations. you have to proceed with caurtion when directly linking the sumerians too the 10th planet.

I'm not making any metion to the sumerians on the time line... I'm just saying.. that such an intelligent group of people... who had a pretty good understanding of the heavens... made note of a 'tenth' planet. (it's cool how X = ten) :p

just saying...

I remember a couple of years ago hearing about the "tenth" planet. At the time I even started a techno album of music about it. the discovery was interesting but then fell out of popular science culture. So the more I read about it...... besides the Egyptian stuff about lizards etc. the more interesting it gets.

Somethings that caught my eye:
- observatories are not suppose to publish reports of comets till after they've passed. In case they raise public hysteria.

- comets made of ice leave trails. comets made of metal or rock don't (which means they don't show up till they're very close and light reflects off them)

- comets that come from the sun are very difficult to see (as the case with Planet X)
