Same here... 6 hours the most everyday. Probably for the last 10 years or so. I don't use an alarm neither... that is the part that people don't realize what is so bad. Being disturbed from your sleep.
I feel for you who are suffering from insomnia and sleep apnea.
For 3 years due to job loss stress.... temp jobs just make it worse - the feeling continues - I currently sleep 4 hours every night if I am lucky. Then sleep on the train or use alcohol before a late dinner just to sleep faster.
This may improve as I become happier with the stability of a long-term career.
Last night, my cat decided to ruin sleep for the only two people that provide him with food. It's time I gave this cat an economy lesson. He's like a furry Bernie Madoff. I definitely got <8 hours of sleep....
I'd rather have 6 hours, than 10 hours. After 9+ hours of sleep, I am so spacey and tired and sleepy, that the entire following day is ruined. It is almost as if you spend the entire following day 'waking up'.
8.0-8.5 hours and I feel outstanding. When I was younger and slept alone I could sleep through the whole night. Once I started sharing a bed I would wake up multiple times.
If i am able to go to bed when I want and wake up naturally, I usually get between 8 and 9 hours of sleep. On weeknights, it's 6 hours, maybe 6.5. There is not enough time in a day to do everything that needs to get done so I rarely get enough sleep. I think I've gotten used to it as I get older. That being said, I hope to have some epic lie-ins this weekend.
no alarm clock here either. i have one set, in case, but it's a very rare occasion i need it; even when sleeping off-schedule (i rotate shifts infrequently)
.. another important thing to note. Try and get the same amount of sleep everyday. Don't do 6 hours during the week and then 8 on the weekends. That really doesn't like most think.
i have friends who tell me they catch up on sleep on the weekend.. I have been telling them that you can't do that.. it doesnt' work that way.. Anyway I get about 8 to 10 hours of sleep a night. My sleep is usually uninterrupted also. I'm just so busy at work.. im go go go and then right from work i go to the gym and train hard, so i need my sleep. I dont function well on anything less then 7 hours. I'm a zombie.
