Isn't it supposed to be spelled Sean - but got corrupted into Shawn? I know it was originally an Irish name.

I've added this name to my soon to be girls names though

Also on the list:

Marion - used to be a guys name
Corey - I know no more Corey's with boobs than not
Robin - Supposed to be a guy's name
Leslie - I get weirded out when I meet men named Leslie

.... and Shawn.. I think is next. I know 2 Shawna's and a Shawny at the moment.

good cover the Shawn/Sean/Shon/Shaun or whatever other variation exisits approve your appology as long as your fisrt born is male and named Shawn, if female you must use Latoya in honour of Galactic Phantom.

Yes I believe the orgin of Shawn (Sean) originates from Ireland meaning John which is English.

Well my confirmation name is John. And it was after my Uncle John, who is Irish (lives in Ireland) so he could be a Sean I suppose, so its part of my name... so that will have to do

As my first born child was allready promised for a donught.

it's funny though how many shawns i've met in parties and after they say their name is shawn, ask me my name to which i reply shani look at me like i either have two heads, done way too many drugs, or am a long lost friend
