Paranoid Jack @ Comfort Zone

Wow! I've heard a lot about this guy from friends and I finally got to check him out at the Zone on Sunday nite. I did'nt actually make it there till about halfway thru his set but damn it was slammin.

Flipside did ok. I liked a lot of his tracks but there was no real flow to his set for most of it. Im definetly not a fan of him yammering away on the mic every chance he gets which was about 7-8 times more than necessary. But decent set over all and he droped some very sweet tunes.

John 00 Flemming. I hate trance, mostly for those annoying breakdowns that make me stop dancing and put my hands on my hips. But when the beat dropped I really enjoyed his set. There were some bad ass basslines goin on and I could definetly feel what he was playing.

But the nod goes to Paranoid Jack. I'm really looking forward to checking him out much more often.

I was there as well fleaflo 'cause I played before Paranoid Jack. Good to see that you like his set and I gotta tell a, you definately don't want to miss this guy, ever.

As for your comments on Flippy, well I have to kind of disagree with one thing. He doesn't talk or did not talk that much that night, from what I remember. He was asked to promote his album and Paranoid Jacks album because this was a cd release party. Addy loved what he was doing on the mic and wants him to do it more often. He was also asked to introduce John "00" Fleming so that's why he spoke then.

Maybe you just don't emcee's. I've been to some parties where the emcee won't shut up at all, at least Flip doesn't talk over vocals like some emcee's do that I've heard. Either way, good to hear you liked everything and I have to tell you, watch out for the Redline Crew (Paranoid Jack, Flipside and vench) 'cause we're gonna tear things up.

See ya around.

-hey janice...where were you for my set??? You don't love me anymore?????????????????

- from what I remember? <snicker> He was really putting me off whenever he was talkin on the mic. Not my thing at all. But promotion is promotion and I'll leave it at that. He was still throwin down some tasty tracks.

He was also asked to introduce John "00" Fleming so that's why he spoke then.

That's not what Im talking about. That's an intro, Im talking about the 5-6 times during the set when he was rambling on about whatever. I just prefer dj's to do their rah-rah's with the vinyl.

Redline Crew (Paranoid Jack, Flipside and vench) 'cause we're gonna tear things up.
