Anyone know where I can get the book value for my car?

I'm thinking of selling, wondering what it's supposed to be worth at least?

VW Golf '97 K2 Model
A/C, Sunroof, PowerLocks, Alloy Rims
100K

I tried to find this as well and came to the conclusion that the only way was to purchase the book. (I think Canadian tire sells them)

I went through the autotrader and Buy and Sell to get an idea of the going price for mine.

Put it in the magazine and your ad automatically is placed online.

It is by far the best way to sell a used car privately.

Also, when you go to an Autotrader location to purchase an ad and have them take a picture of your vehcile (if you need them to), they will give you an estimate of what you realistically should expect to sell your car for.

your car is worth somewhere in the neighborhood of $10-12,000 it really depends on the condition you'll see some with high clicks 150 on up for 10 around 100K i'd say roughly somewhere in the higher end. this price is based on the fact its standard, VW has always made shitty automatics till recently, also on 2dr's which is what the K2 model is if I am correct.

Hope that helps,

Actually mine is the 4dr and it's 5 Speed.
The K2 model meant the Sunroof, Heated Seats, Power Mirrors... and Snowboard/Ski rack, which I don't have as I bought it used off a lease and they took it, those bastards

put it this way vw's keep their value very well. My 93 has about 195,000 on it, i could still ask about 7-7500 and possibly get it.

ask yourself what would make you happy, in terms of how much your ROI is. I look at it this way, say you paid 15,000 and have had it 3 years deduct 700-1000/yr, that should put you in the relative range of what ppl are selling for.

This is not a direct comment back at you jah, but I am always curious why auto manufacturers list this as a "feature" or "option". Doesn't every car have this? Are there some cars where you actually can't adjust the steering column?

Such as? Can you give me an example. I am honestly surprised. So if the steering wheel is too high or too low, the person just doesn't buy the car? Seems like a stupid thing to leave out of a car, as it would quickly eliminate many potential buyers.

Yah... good choice...

I love the spring... I usually take out either the Viper or the Stealth from the Dodge Dealership and take it for a spin...

...from the Mazda, I love taking out a special edition Miata, but I'm looking forward to the RX-8...

...Last year the Ford Lot had a 450HP Mustang I ran arround in for a day...

I love being the son of a Car Guy.

I know that low end cars especially imports don't always have tilt, although it is becoming more of a standard than not. Also although not a "car" many trucks and vans don't have this either. It is definitely become more rare all the time.
