It reminds me of when my friend and I build RAMputer. (no hard drive, just ram) ... problem was, once it powered down, that was the end of it.

Ya they got solutions for that with batteries - I always fantasized about being rich and being able to try out shit like that..;)

So I just skimmed through with no audio - did they put those 24 drives in a giant Raid 0 array??

Doesn't mention the particular RAID config used even after going through the technical details.

If it was striped with parity it would have come out to a fair bit less than 6TB useable.

Overall the test was a bit over the top gear wise.

Gets similar speeds, is RAID'able and probably dollar equivalent or better than purchasing that waste of gear.
